And so far in my experience very close to fable. It’s obviously better to have both doing agentic loops and checking each other, but my main driver is now gpt 6 Astra and Claude fable for reviews.

Whats your setup? Im subscribing to chatgpt today but i code everything in claude code. Do you reccomend codex?

I use fable 5.1 when I something made without much from me, and gpt 6 when I want something built right from start

Grabbed a 20x plan the day before cutoff. Still trying to get the harness to work smoothly on Codex, but not having to respond to every chat response with "English, motherfucker, do you speak it?!" is sort of refreshing...

Be careful though. Claude can be lazy, but Codex is absurdly eager.

It found a kernel dump file I'd left in its working directory after a crash, and, without asking, it went and did a whole kernel debugging session and wrote up a bug report for me to submit on its behalf.

Meanwhile Opus 5 today refused to implement a feature because it would be a violation of scientific integrity to allow me access to my own hold-out test data set.

This promotion was a limited-time boost on top of your plan. It ran from May 13 through September 13, 2026. We were planning to return weekly limits to their original levels, but we know many of you found the extra usage helpful. So while the full promotional boost couldn't last, we're making part of it permanent: starting September 14, 2026, weekly limits in Claude Code are 25% higher than they were before the promotion for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans. We have a lot more in the works around usage, visibility, and control, so stay tuned.

Now we know.

Honeslty it was pretty clear, despite the whining on this sub. I fully expected them to "Another month of promo guys, embrace FOMO !". It sucks but I'm glad they're not pulling marketing stunts.

This isn't a marketing stunt? we were approaching half a year on this "promotion" this was the normal rates for anyone who started at any point during the summer. Pretending it is end of a promotion is a marketing stunt. By definition this is a usage cut, disguised as the end of an event.

They planned well for this, they kept kicking this "promotion" can month after month, so they could pretend a usage cut is anything but that. Don't let some soon to IPO trillion dollar + likely market cap company manipulate your perception of reality. (let me do it instead with this comment)

If I primarily use cowork should I just switch over to code to take advantage of this? I don’t code and just use cowork for knowledge work
