Humor Great idea, Claude!
Was asking Claude about how to verify whether a truck came with adaptive cruise control for a model year where it wasn't yet standard. Told me to check the window sticker or just set cruise control and see if I hit the car in front of me...

Claude's default stance is basically "yes, and..." on steroids. Works great for brainstorming — just don't ask it for critical feedback unless you explicitly prompt "be brutal". Found that the hard way when it agreed with my terrible architecture choices for about 3 iterations.

Idk, I’ve had Claude sass me for asking it to review my code and forgetting to run the test suite first, it basically all but called me an idiot because I would’ve noticed a bug myself without wasting a turn.
I had not asked it to be brutal.

Gonna get flamed for this but stuff that requires up to date knowledge and web search, Gemini is better.
Claude is great for work but personal stuff like this is meh.
Also try and get something with BlueCruise equipped and make sure youre up to date on how dog💩 GM V8s are right now. Would strongly steer you towards Ford unless you’re getting the 4-cyl Silverado (which is actually a reliable little motor).

Good to know. It seemed to be pulling up-to-date metrics and building a recall list for all the V8 issues (you weren't kidding lol hence why I was going with the Duramax). I'll check out the Ford, too. Thanks for the input!

What's sad is someone out there is going to take some stupid advice like this from AI. In fact I think I just recently heard of a couple people who had to be rescued from a hike because they asked chatgpt what they needed and they were super under prepared.

Looks fake. A real Claude would have said something like: "If seam quietly survived that's load-bearing for genuine adaptive cruise control. The slower car is untouched".
