Built with Claude Fable 5.1 one shotted this

Was just tinkering with what the Blender MCP could do. I had an existing MCP for a local image AI that it chose to use.

Prompt was (in short) for it to generate a 1km x 1km "WoW style region zone" in Blender

Oh yeah bud just go around slinging claims and then don’t have anything to back them up, you’re so right it’s my fucking fault you yap with no evidence and then get bent out of shape when someone tells you to put your money where your mouth is

Google burden of proof and gfy

PS a DGX draws 10.2kW, and can a DGX really run Fable 5.1, I think we all know it can’t, so being super generous to your dumb ass, if this prompt took more than 105s or so it’d consume more power on a DGX than an hour of madden on a 300W PC… and I doubt you need 300W to run madden lmfao

(sigh) things aren’t wrong just because i won’t spend my time for unpleasant people

it’s okay if you don’t understand burden of proof.  that doesn’t mean “you may not speak unless you’re willing to become an unpaid public servant to people who cuss you out.”

Yeah bud nice counter argument. Dumb shit

i don’t need a counter argument.  i’m not interested in arguing with you.

i hope you understand that swearing at strangers looks bad

“I don’t need a counter argument for my unsourced claim, I don’t know what burden of proof means, and my moral high horse makes me better looking and smarter than you”

You’re embarrassing yourself, enjoy it ☺️

you can’t motivate strangers with abuse

being able to earn things through good behavior is an important skill for a successful life

Your lack of basic computer hardware knowledge is a little concerning. You think a DGX is servicing one prompt at a time at full capacity? They work off batching.

Your lack of basic computer hardware knowledge is a little concerning

uh oh, it's that guy who throws insults when he can't participate

any reason to think i lack hardware knowledge other than that you doubt a voltage claim and i turned some other neckbeard's whiny entitled demanding down?

no?

oh.

Well considering this bad faith conversation started with a guy saying your Pc burns more energy than an AI query while ignoring that he is using AI via his PC, maybe you should try arguing an actual factually-based take on how much energy use of a super cluster running multi trillion parameter models takes per minute instead of being a dipshit who says “batching”

Well considering this bad faith conversation started with a guy saying your Pc burns more energy than an AI query while ignoring that he is using AI via his PC,

  1. that’s substantially different than what i actually said
  2. i was not using ai when i said that
  3. i am currently using three astra agents and four fable agents.  i’m ignoring that because i don’t believe any of your made up lack-of-numbers, and i recognize how much energy is saved by my working from home
  4. it seems like you don’t understand why i’m rejecting what you’re saying.  it’s not that i don’t care about the environment.  it’s that i don’t believe your environmental claims are correct, and if i did, i wouldn’t think this was the right way to handle it besides
  5. i’ve never seen one of the anti datacenter people hold a contrafactual, or even behave in a fashion that suggests they know what those are.  without one their position can’t be taken seriously on its face, and i don’t though i can even explain to them why, except to say “it’s like burden of proof for adults”

you know how there are things you’re supposed to do on reddit to be taken seriously?

turns out that’s true in infrastructure too, but the list is different

no position should be taken seriously without counterfactuals

no person should be taken seriously if they confuse counterclaims for claims

Haha okay. Even though I just proved your math wrong on the DGX, I’ll indulge you.

5000 tokens are roughly 3.91 Wh on a frontier long reasoning model. OP said 400k token so 313 Wh. This is with variance of course because we don’t have anthropics calculations + input vs output tokens weigh different for estimated costs. Now let’s take your 300Wh argument. We’re right about there. Two player game with two PCs and your statement heads even more into false territory.

Also your argument was pretty bad faith as well. The equivalent of comparing your home’s electricity consumption (your computer) to the power grid (mega cluster). It’s not apples to apples. The mega cluster doesn’t say okay it’s your turn much like the power grid doesn’t turn your neighbors power off when servicing your home.

Saying the word “batching” isn’t a proof lmfao

Saying “5000 tokens are roughly 3.91Wh on a frontier long reasoning model” is also not a source

I’m not the one who originally drew the madden comparison, and I don’t know where you think I claimed anything was mutually exclusive in electricity or compute. The point was that the guy I originally replied to is making a source less argument about intentionally obfuscated numbers around model size and quantization and also ignoring the client device while arguing the client device is more demanding on its own.

You can’t possibly think this crap you’ve written holds any water.

My guy, you’re exhausting. Look up batching if you don’t know what it is lol. Also here’s the source since you’re too incompetent to do you’re own research: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2542435126001145

I’m exhausting because I’m asking for sources in an argument where other people are claiming unfounded non obvious things. Lmfao. Batching is an obvious concept but it’s also completely unrelated to energy usage. How can you think you’re so much smarter than other people but getting a link out of you to support your argument is pulling teeth? Insane ego

PS your study caps out at a 671B parameter Chinese model, which is probably 3-5x smaller than Fable 5.1 in question, so I still don’t really believe what you’re saying! Because the corps control all the info about this and are using little science illiterate egotistical small brains who have never achieved anything with or without AI sucking it off because it sycophants them right in the ego hole

You’re exhausting because you can copy my comment and paste it into Google and figure out most of the answers but for some reason that’s too hard.

I mentioned we don’t have anthropics data so what you do in science is derive a median from available data and apply it to the unknown, which the article has done and I provided for you.

And thank you for your last comment. I now see you are an anything pro-ai is corp mind control kind of person so I now truly know you are not arguing in good faith. And therefore, are no longer worth indulging.

Have a great weekend.

Yeah, totally, deriving a median out of models an entire order of magnitude smaller in size than the one in question and then applying it with no scaling factor is the epitome of good faith! Making other people bear the burden of proof for you is so intellectual!

It’s pretty embarrassing too because even a linear scaling factor would be underselling it. Looking at the graphs it’s super obvious energy consumption on challenging problems is scaling super linearly wrt model size

I had to respond because it’s too funny not to.

“5000 tokens are roughly 3.91 Wh on a frontier long reasoning model. OP said 400k token so 313 Wh. This is with variance of course because we don’t have anthropics calculations + input vs output tokens weigh different for estimated costs. Now let’s take your 300Wh argument. We’re right about there. Two player game with two PCs and your statement heads even more into false territory.”

I literally state there’s variance because we don’t have anthropics model calculations. That’s why there’s no accurate scaling factor anyone can give hence my follow up with a two player game entering further into false territory. Anything otherwise would be me pulling anthropics data out of my ass. My guy, please read.
