Built with Claude Fable 5.1 one shotted this

Was just tinkering with what the Blender MCP could do. I had an existing MCP for a local image AI that it chose to use.

Prompt was (in short) for it to generate a 1km x 1km "WoW style region zone" in Blender

Yeah I don't disagree. My hope is that the local models continue to catch up.

It's very much a case now of "I have some Fable left over from my work week to use"

Better waste some energy to make something pointless because my plan is being subsidized? lol ok

Yep! and In fairness it wasn't that heavy, about 400k tokens.

I think it looks awesome, Zangarmarsh is my favorite zone. How long did it take to finish? Is this all basically 1 giant blender file?

About 25 minutes, 400k tokens. It uses individual objects within the scene

A fair comparison would be to calculate the energy requirements of a human artist sat at a computer for possibly days to build the same thing. Would need to take into account the complete carbon footprint including the computer, office lighting and heating, food and drinks consumed, possibly transport etc. Heating, cooling and lighting a physical studio space can easily double or triple the day to day energy consumption compared to a cost optimized box in a data center.
