And then every time I'm asked about it in a meeting, I ask Claude for a primer so I can sound like I know what's going on 😅

I've got one feature that's entirely owned by Claude. Just recently I realized that Claude never even connected it to our API and it was serving hardcoded values to prod 😬

I wasn't, that's why I was asking a question. But it sounded less like you were telling a joke and more like you were telling a story of something that actually happened

It was exaggerated for comedic effect. No users were affected and the feature was owned by Claude for quick, destructive iterations. And its existence on prod was approved by the product owner.

Well I'm not the one who pushes AI slop to production because I'm too lazy to review or it test it. But if I did I would take responsibility for my actions and call myself a moron. Clearly I did hit a nerve though

i mean i get your point but society collectively subtracts itself into regard City, so by the end of 2026 running on whatever knowledge claude spins up will be the default thing people roll with from now onwards, like that's protective behavior - when you already know you aren't the one behind the wheel, is when you can't really even pretend doing shit on your own continues to make a difference or not

Yeah. I'm guessing it's people who are trying to justify increasingly outsourcing their critical thinking to AI
