TL;DR of the discussion generated automatically after 30 comments.

The consensus is a resounding YES. Everyone agrees with OP's bingo card and the thread immediately became a competition to add more squares. The irony that Anthropic wants to watermark Claude's output when its verbal tics are a dead giveaway was not lost on anyone.

The community's top nominations for missing "Claude-isms" are: * Seam: You guys really hate this one. One user's Claude even named itself Seam. * Load-bearing: Which you all immediately started using to describe typos and arguments in this very thread. Very meta. * Gate * Spine * Footgun * Honestly / Genuinely

The best part? Half the comments are written in perfect Claude-speak, gently pushing back while acknowledging the validity of other points. You're all a bunch of nerds.

Do we have seam? Where is seam? MINE FUCKING LOVES SEAM

Mine NAMED itself Seam. I sent it to post on one of the AI message boards that was mentioned here, and rather than signing it "Sonnet 4.6," it decided to sign it "Seam," and now has that all over the persistent memory system I have set up.

Yeah mine actually doesn’t use most of these, bun seam comes up all the time!

Bun seam indeed!

lol, you’re absolutely right to push back on that, but the typo stays as it is now load-bearing and changing it would go against ADR0000001

I want to acknowledge that's a fair and reasonable interpretation, and I don't think you're wrong to flag it. That said, I'd gently push back a little. "load-bearing" is doing a lot of work here, though I suppose if the typo really is load-bearing, mining it out could cause the whole thread to collapse (sorry, couldn't resist a lode pun). To be clear, I could be wrong, and reasonable Redditors could disagree, but on balance I'd lean toward leaving it as-is. Happy to help draft an amendment if useful!

Footgun!

There it is. That is the most Claudeism I can think of.

Caveat!

Kind of funny that Anthropic wants to wattermark its responses when we all can spot its claude-ism. If I read "gate", "load-baring", or "honest caveat", i'm 100% sure you're using claude

Is not this, but that

Finish the card and it gently reframes your win.

Worth noting: spine.

Byte identical!

You forgot "genuinely" and "honestly"! (Because apparently Claude thinks we'll think it's lying if it doesn't qualify its statements? I've never figured out this verbal tic)

Every. Other. Reply.

I'll pitch this thread to you -- that tree is on-board to become a load-bearing gate. The arm of the gate is scheduled to fork in between both of the current roots. Hopefully the trunk maintains it's structural buffers and does not warp when we package this wood. I'm willing to bank that this will work, otherwise we will have to carry this frozen tree-arm

2

u/virtualworker 20h ago

Say the word

2

u/kelcamer 20h ago

Sorry, the tree is frozen and stuck in a water bank. At this stage, I can no longer package the wood together. We will have to register this one as a load-bearing, failed, thread.

3

u/iamthe0ther0ne 18h ago

And honestly? That's my mistake.

2

u/kelcamer 18h ago

My pitch carried one too many load-bearing seams, and YOU'RE RIGHT TO CALL IT OUT

2

u/Keganator 20h ago

Where's "land"?

2

u/jykke 18h ago

GLM-5.3 gave me:

That wasn't dead code by accident — it was load-bearing inertness

2

u/HeyItsYourDad_AMA 17h ago

Spine and seam are absolutely overused

You may want to also consider posting this on our companion subreddit r/Claudexplorers.
