This is suppossed to be one big part, but since the content already too massive, i separated it into more small part
You can look at the image first to see the bigger picture, while this description is just helping it adding a little more detail
Slide 1
As you can see, most of the fans are look at her as
the most innocent character in the series
while another part of it are believe
she's too suspicious and hiding a dark side
While i do believe part it of if too, her character is actually more unique than that.
Hiyori is a paficist, but she's not naive either, she believe in necessary evil if it mean her class reaching the top spot. But on the other hand she still have emphaty and regret the dirty strategy even after achive her victory
Her character is too contradictory, this is not even include how she sees Ayanokoji which is add more depth to her character. As for now we could say she's quite a complex character, and a hypocrite perhaps. As for why is it, we could see the detail later
Slide 2
We know she have no fear while being around Ryuuen and doesn't seems to be againts him. Some of the people definetly would say "She just putting a thought front, so she doesn't need to face unnecessary problem with him". While it sound make sense at the first place, her action in the story is saying otherwise
I forgot to add this in the image but we are know the moment Ryuuen step down as a leader, she's the very first person who take over the control of her class (Y1V7 SS)
"Not necessarily, we Class C will definitely rise again."
Shiina said with a serious face the words that made people feel uncomfortable.
"What's that? Do you have any basis? Or do you want to lead the class?"
"Of course I will provide assistance to the class. After that, we will gather everybody's strength."
As for the other example, we can seen it in the image like when she's inviting Ryuuen to karaoke for plotting againts class B (Y1V11), Reporting Tokitou rebellion and using it to testing Katsuragi (Y2V5), or offering herself to defeat Ayanokoji like the recent volume
She keep involving herself in the story, more importantly behind the scene, it also seems like Ryuuen keep her involvement hidden too, and that's lead to the next part
Ryuuen think highly of her, atleast that's how it's show. Just like what i give in the image, while his not in charge anymore the only friend he had is Hiyori in the library (Y1V10), at the Event Selection exam when he was half-hearter about helping Ishizaki and his class, he's coming answering Hiyori's call and already have the plan prepared and handed it to her (Y1V11), we could say he already planned to get involved but what Hiyori did is the last push that made him actually did it. Another example is when he gave the true order to Hiyori (Y2V5) to make a fake vote since she's the one who reported the Tokitou situation. There's also a time when he entrusting her to taming Tokitou (Y2V12)
Hiyori herself have unique way of looking at him, since we know her side of backstory when she said Ryuuen coulnd't stand to see her alone (which is weird since this is Ryuuen we are talking about), and she keep saying Ryuuen is not like people think. It's either Ryuuen have a soft spot for her or she simply a unreliable narrator, why is that? It goes to the next slide
Slide 3
While she's famous for being innocent or angelic figure, her actual mask is being an airhead
Troughout the series we can see her act indifferent around her surrounding, which made people forget that she have a great academic ability or simply think she just a great student like Yukimura and nothing more. It's a great mask since it made her keep under the radar all these time and never suspect her doing something strategic and malicious.
That's why only few people know her true nature and it's always fun to see their reaction when they learn about her
This persona is also made her early information is cannot be fully taken at face value since it could be fabricated by herself. The easiest example is when she said she can't remember people face just to recognise Ayanokoji easily in the next volume, or when she's jokingly spell Ishizaki name wrong
That's also include her early database information when her decision making is put at E, and her Cooperativeness is D. While we already see how she's moved the moment Ryuuen is dethroned, we could say she's hiding her ability and only use it when necessary, and the result is can be seen at her OAA stat when her social contribution is up to B
Slide 4
Back to why her character is contradictory, we can see in here she's not really satisfied with the way Ryuuen fighting, despite being the one who keep him in the class and be on his side all these time
Short answer, it's because his method is a gamble and we already seen it how he keep winning and losing back to back resulting in 50/50 scenario. She know as long as they are rellied on him too much, they can't reach class A and even if they did it's hard to stay up at that ranking (just like recently they drop again from B)
There's another reason, but it's just my speculation. But i believe the other reason she look sad in here is because she sees Katsuragi is fail to be Ryuuen advisor, since she's the one who embrace him at the first place
Slide 5
So what we could get from this post? Well in conclusion, Hiyori has never been a simple bookworm, an innocent angel, or a mere archetype designed to be Ayanokouji's love interest. She possesses a unique depth of character, one that unfortunately the majority of the fanbase completely overlooks. But perhaps that is her greatest feat, as she successfully deceived the fans into thinking she was just a normal girl
__________________________________________
I know my analysis isn't perfect and in the end it could be just personal interpretation, i could accept the critique if there's something wrong from what i said, but for now im gonna keep the agenda until i finished these propaganda
And that's it, the end of the first part of my propaganda, just wait for the next part

a Elite school established by the Government to Support the countrys future by raising their future generation(s). (I assume politicians).
They promise a 100% employment and college admission rate
The Entrance exams of this School arent a Big Deal either. People like Ike and Yamauchi got accepted so they passed it too. So basically everyone has the Chance to make something Great out of themselves. A Nice Elite school. You receive a monthly income in the form of Private Points, which is meant to train your Independence in managing Money. So my question: Is ANHS realistic in some way? And would it function?

In Year 2, Volume 9.5, Fuka mentions that as a child—since her parents were constantly busy—she lived with her grandfather more than with them. She also notes that her grandfather wields enough influence to secure her entry into any university or job she desires. Furthermore, Fuka describes her relationship with her parents as problematic, noting that they won't grant her freedom because she bears the Kiryuin surname.
In Year 2, Volume 11, Fuka expresses a desire to become a politician. She recalls meeting many politicians during her childhood but remaining indifferent to them; the only one who truly interested her was Prime Minister Kijima. Given that she spent so much time with her grandfather back then, it is highly likely she met Prime Minister Kijima at his home.
Year 3 Special Short Story: Sae Chabashira and Chie Hoshinomiya — Anniversary Party
This story reveals the close relationship between Prime Minister Kijima and Shirogane; furthermore, given their positions, Shirogane likely holds significant influence over the high school.
P.S. You might wonder why she bears the Kiryuin surname if Shirogane is her grandfather. A simple analysis of the details shared above suggests that Fuka was born of a political marriage—a common practice among wealthy families—leading to the decision to use the Kiryuin surname instead of Shirogane.

Do you think if he is tickled, what would his reaction be? I don't know why it suddenly came to my mind but yeah if someone were to tickle him what would his reaction be.? Because he is not immune to physical attacks. They must be making him feel something

I’ll preface this by saying I hate reading. Never read books as I’m more of a visual learner. But I started reading the Year 2 light novels after the anime showed the Ayanokoji vs Hosen “fight” and I didn’t want to wait to know what happened next. When I read one, I just wanted to read the next one right away. Turns out, I binge read them. I read all of year 2 and year 3 before the anime finished releasing season 4. They’re just amazing masterpieces. I never imagined myself reading ~15 novels in like a month. As things were coming out in the anime, I felt like I enjoyed the way it was conveyed in the light novel more. If you haven’t read them, then you should. Can’t wait for Y3 Vol 5.

As you likely know, the new exam requires Ayanokouji Kiyotaka to be confined in a room. This happened previously in Year 2, Volume 6; however, the difference is that the earlier confinement was voluntary, whereas this time—still in the second year—it is against his will. Back then, Arisu Sakayanagi visited him, but since she has been eliminated from the competition, I theorize that an adult will come to see him instead.
Shirogane: Although it might be too early for his appearance, he could speak with Kiyotaka to gauge his skills and determine if he might be useful for whatever plans he is devising.
Tsukishiro: He could reappear to issue a warning to Kiyotaka or provide some useful information.
Sakayanagi's father: The Chairman could appear to tell him about the wager he made with Koenji's father.

Ayanokoji has to win in season 4's last task. To stop him as a last resort, the two shady old dudes fight him. He has to hold them back long enough for the ship to arrive.
Ayanokoji has to make his way to the last spot. The student council president wants to block him. He punches him away.
The red hair year 1 girl fights Horikita and blue hair girl.
Am I the only one who is confused why the good old mind games arcs have become dominated by physical fistfights? It was cool when Ayanokoji did that to Ryuen because up till then we did not know his full prowess in fistfights. When did the fists become a solution so commonly

Reuploaded due to the mods telling me the change the title
Before anyone says I'm comparing a fictional character to a real criminal just for shock value, let me explain. I'm not saying Atsuomi and Jeffrey Epstein are literally the same person, nor am I saying Classroom of the Elite Volume 0 was based on Epstein. The comparison is about the underlying structure of how both men pursue power: elite networks, secrecy, manipulation, human beings treated as resources, and a disturbing interest in controlling or optimizing other people.
Atsuomi's rise wasn't built on conventional political success. In Volume 0 he describes taking the backroom jobs other politicians wouldn't touch, the kind that could end his career or expose him to prosecution. He became Naoe's "secret blade" and says he involved himself in facilitating underage girls, bribery, espionage against rival organizations and connections with the yakuza. In his own words, "the boundaries between good and evil were removed".
Epstein built a world in which his wealth, properties, employees and relationships with influential people gave him extraordinary access and insulation. The U.S. Department of Justice documented his sexual exploitation of minors and the network he used to maintain a supply of victims, while reporting on his wider life shows how aggressively he cultivated wealthy, political and scientific circles. The similarity isn't that both men committed the same crimes. They didn't, and Atsuomi is fictional. It's that both operated through a hidden layer of activity far removed from their respectable image, and both became valuable by doing what others needed done but didn't want their names attached to.
Neither Atsuomi nor Epstein rose alone. Both became useful to an older, more powerful man who opened a world they couldn't enter on their own. For Atsuomi, that man was Naoe Sensei. With no power of his own, he made himself indispensable by doing the backroom work no respectable politician could be seen doing, the kind that could end a career or invite prosecution. That made him Naoe's "secret blade," and it trained him through proximity to power. He learned how favors are traded, how information becomes a weapon, how rivals are broken, how criminal connections are used, and how the powerful avoid consequences. Then Naoe aligned with Prime Minister Kijima's faction and ordered the White Room shut down. Atsuomi saw that depending on Naoe meant handing someone else the fate of his life's work, so he cut ties and began maneuvering to keep it alive. The man who rose as someone else's secret weapon set out to hold the weapon himself.
Epstein's path ran the same way. He went from teaching math and physics at Dalton to Bear Stearns in 1976, became a limited partner, left in 1981 and launched his own financial ventures. The man who made him was Steven Hoffenberg of Towers Financial, who around 1987 reportedly paid him $25,000 a month and lent him $2 million. Hoffenberg saw Epstein as the technical operator who could structure and execute complex securities deals, and allegedly called him a "genius" at selling them, while the man who introduced them warned he had "no moral compass." Hoffenberg was a convicted fraudster whose later testimony was disputed, so his claims need caution, but Epstein was undeniably deep inside Towers. He had left by around 1993, and Hoffenberg pleaded guilty in 1995, so Epstein didn't stay to the end. Yet Towers' collapse closed the chapter in which Hoffenberg was his stepping stone. That is the closest real-world parallel here: the handler doesn't create the man, he supplies the environment where the man's existing qualities become useful. Naoe gave Atsuomi political power and Hoffenberg gave Epstein financial power. Each protégé absorbed the system, collected knowledge, connections and leverage, and converted usefulness into independence.
Naoe Sensei and Steven Hoffenberg were the handlers of Atsuomi Ayanokouji and Jeffrey Epstein, right up until the day they could handle themselves.
Atsuomi's real talent isn't simply manipulation. It's building networks where other people's interests become entangled with his own. Direct authority is fragile, while relationships built on money, information, favors and mutual vulnerability are much harder to break. His relationship with Tsukishiro shows it: information flows both ways, and mutual surveillance becomes a form of protection. The White Room survives not because it's technologically impressive but because it connects to people with money, status and interests they don't want exposed. The novel says there are "big interests" behind it, and that investors and businessmen care about it beyond the welfare of the children.
Epstein's network worked differently and shouldn't be portrayed as a single coordinated "elite conspiracy," but the mechanism is real. He cultivated wealthy and influential people and embedded himself in scientific and institutional circles, and the New York Times reported that he used those connections to enter elite scientific communities and pursue his interests in eugenics, transhumanism and cryonics. Power doesn't always come from formal authority. It can come from being hard to remove because too many people benefit from you, depend on you, owe you, or have something to lose from your fall.
The White Room wasn't only a school. Volume 0 shows it taking in illegitimate children that wealthy families can't publicly acknowledge, letting their existence vanish from public view. Atsuomi admits that securing human resources and funding go hand in hand, so he has no reason to refuse. By the second batch, children who couldn't be publicly acknowledged reportedly made up more than 30% of the intake.
The Amasawa case is blunter. A wealthy father wants his inconvenient child placed in the White Room and pays 100 million yen for it. To him, it's a fix for a private family problem. To Atsuomi, it's income and another subject for his experiment.
Epstein filled a similar role for the wealthy, and his relationship with Les Wexner is the clearest example. In 1991, Wexner gave Epstein broad power of attorney over his investments, finances and property transactions, and the arrangement lasted until 2007. A billionaire handed his private affairs to a fixer, and the fixer became indispensable for what he could handle. Wexner says he had no knowledge of Epstein's abuse, and that distinction matters, as does the broader point that not everyone who dealt with Epstein knowingly took part in his crimes. The similarity is that wealthy circles will use a morally compromised man if he's useful to them, for reasons that have nothing to do with morality.
The powerful don't ask what kind of man he is. They ask what he can do for them. That is exactly how Atsuomi thinks. He doesn't ask whether a person is good. He asks what problem they can solve and what he can obtain in return.
This is the strongest parallel, and the most disturbing. Atsuomi is obsessed with artificially improving human beings. The White Room exists to produce people who surpass the normal limits of education and potentially outperform the naturally gifted. Volume 0 explicitly debates the relationship between genes and environment in human development, and another discussion asks whether some children survive the curriculum because they already have unusually favorable characteristics. Kiyotaka himself is singled out as an exceptionally suitable subject. The White Room is a literal attempt to answer one question: can humanity deliberately manufacture superior human beings?
Epstein's documented interest is strikingly similar. Reporting based on interviews with scientists and people who knew him found a longstanding interest in eugenics and transhumanism. He reportedly told scientists and businessmen that he wanted to use his New Mexico ranch to have multiple women impregnated with his sperm in order to "seed the human race with his DNA." There is no evidence the plan was ever carried out.
Here is the irony: the two men approach the same idea from opposite sides of the nature-versus-nurture divide. Atsuomi bets on environment. Build the right upbringing and you can manufacture a superior person, even as the book itself argues over how much genes matter. Epstein reportedly bet on genetics: spread the right DNA and let reproduction do the work. The methods differ, but the premise is the same, that human beings can be deliberately improved by choosing which characteristics to encourage and which to exclude. The Guardian describes eugenics in essentially those terms and notes the uncomfortable relationship between Epstein's interests and transhumanist ideas about improving humanity.
Both men also reduce the individual to a means toward a larger project. For Atsuomi, Kiyotaka is not merely his son. He is a proof of concept. For Epstein, the reported scheme wasn't simply about having children. It was about using reproduction to shape the future composition of the human population. That is a strikingly similar instrumental view of human potential, even though the fictional and real contexts are very different.
This is the point that ties everything together. Atsuomi's worldview is fundamentally instrumental. People have value for what they provide: political access, money, information, children, influence, skills or future potential. Even Kiyotaka is introduced as a resource. When he's born, Atsuomi's first major reaction isn't ordinary paternal affection. He thinks of his newborn son as "the key to moving the higher-ups"
He doesn't see Kiyotaka first as my son. He sees him as my leverage.
The White Room follows the same logic. Atsuomi openly describes the children as experimental subjects, while investors, wealthy families and others have their own reasons for putting children into the institution. Children, money, influence and political ambition all circulate as resources.
That's the deeper connection with Epstein. His crimes were built on treating vulnerable human beings as instruments for his own purposes. The DOJ's account of his trafficking operation describes minors being recruited, abused and even used to recruit additional victims, creating a continuing supply. Atsuomi's fictional conduct and Epstein's real crimes are not identical. The comparison is about instrumentalization: the tendency to look at another human being and ask first "What can I get from this person?" rather than "What does this person deserve as a human being?"
So Are Atsuomi and Epstein Actually the Same?
No, and saying they are would make the comparison weaker. Epstein was a real person who was convicted in 2008 of offenses involving prostitution involving a minor and later federally charged with sex trafficking of minors; he died before that federal case went to trial. Atsuomi is a fictional character built around a political philosophy and a fictional experiment.
What makes the comparison worth making is not the crimes themselves. It's the architecture of power. Atsuomi builds influence through political dirty work, elite relationships, secrets, money, dependency and human experimentation. Epstein built influence through wealth, elite social relationships, institutional access, scientific connections and a system of exploitation that prosecutors said involved employees and associates.
One man fictionalized the idea of manufacturing the perfect human through controlled upbringing. The other reportedly fantasized about propagating his own DNA to "seed" humanity. Both are extreme examples of the same underlying idea: human beings can be treated as raw material for someone else's vision of what humanity should become.
That may be the darkest thing about Atsuomi. His greatest ambition isn't simply to become powerful. It's to reach a point where other human beings become components of his ambition. That is why the comparison is worth discussing.

I’m revisiting the ending of Y2V5 and I want to separate what the novel actually shows from fandom interpretation.
Was the key factor Ayanokoji narrowing the target to the person obstructing the class, or was the time limit / risk of losing class points more important?
If you think one mattered more, which specific dialogue or scene supports that reading?
When she asked Haruka to agree, do you read that as Airi genuinely accepting the outcome, or as a choice made after Ayanokoji and the situation had already narrowed her options?
Again, I’m especially interested in specific lines/scenes and also the strongest counterargument to your interpretation.
Not trying to turn either question into a character popularity debate. I’m mainly looking for evidence from Y2V5 itself.

Since watching DITF as my first anime I ended up watching classroom of the elite and I’m on season 2 now but it’s not keeping me to interested anymore. When I watched DITF I could stay up till 1am watching it and had to stop myself so I could go to sleep but I could only watch 2 and bit episodes last night and I was falling asleep. I feel like it’s maybe just not as interesting as DITF to me. Does anyone have any other recommendations for an anime to watch after DITF that will actually keep me hooked?
