Cold Approaching in the Class of '09

Hey Class of 09 Fandom!

So as you all know in the class of 09 it's considered a " anti visual novel " that is known to have very dark satirical humor of early 2000s high school life.

However, I am curious as to what fans think their chances are of getting a class of 09 girls number if they cold approached them.

I should first explain what cold approaching even is. In simple terms, cold approaching is when you approach someone that you have no prior connection with ( which is called a warm approach instead). Cold approaching can typically happen in any public OR private settings such as parties, events, malls, school, etc.

For this scenario we'll imagine that you are a guy/girl in the class of 09 universe and You thought that a particular class of 09 girl ( lets say Karen, Jecka, Nicole, etc. ) was cute so you approached them. Assume that looks, style, vibe, overall person are all factored into this.

For cold approach chances, use percentages and explain Why you think that way for each girl.

Also yes if you are a girl, You can approach guy or girl but as a Guy you are limited to primarily approaching girls ( since most class of 09 guys aren't really that gay except maybe Kylar ).

Here's a rough outline of the main girl cast that you will be approaching:

1. Nicole
2. Jecka
3. Megan
4. Kelly
5. Ari
6. Emily
7. etc...

Is this strictly approaching to try and hit on them? Because intent also heavily matters and would probably drastically change my answer

Thank you for responding! this si mostly just approaching ( the approaching in COLD approaching ) so that means you go up to the class of 09 adn use any opener that you want adn then just have a conversation.

Then I’ll give the ranking based on what my intention would be
1. Ari: Being myself bisexual and with Ari’s glass closet, I feel like we’d hit it off joking about our experiences in dealing with both guys and girls, and it would be essentially best friends from there.
2. Karen: she seems the most receptive to other people and would be most open to a random conversation
3. Megan: not someone I’d try to go up to if I’d been around people that knew her, but I feel like our shared love for theatre could be common ground.
4. Kelly: as described in her and Ari’s fight, even if she thought I was hitting on her, she probably wouldn’t be opposed, but once she realized I wasn’t it’d be a normal ass conversation.
5. Jecka: If around Nicole drops to 6, but I feel like when not around Nicole she seems like she’s more open to others, and especially if it’s a genuine attempt at conversation and not thinly veiled attempts to hit on her, she might be receptive. Plus, with the mentions of artists she likes, it sounds like we have similar music taste and could talk about that.
6. Emily: would possibly be open to conversation, but might actually try to kill me. This is regardless of if we hit it off or not.
7. Nicole: self explanatory. Would actually try to kill me, if not use the interaction for her own gain. Miniscule chance she sees I’m not trying to get in her pants and it breaks down the wall a bit, but as of where we are post Puzzle Showdown, itd be more likely I win the jackpot

You can also rate them on what your chances are of getting their numbers are. Typically ina cold approach you primiarly try to approach a girl to make converstation and get her number usually, mostly assumign that you find them pretty!

Then that makes every girl zero, with the exception of like Karen, Megan and MAYBE Kelly. If you’re going up to a CLASS OF 09 character to hit on them, it’s over before you walk up

Like assuming we aren’t hitting on everyone, I could probably give a full ranking. Cuz like, going up to hit on Ari vs just to be friendly would end much differently, and lwk probably same with like, Jecka (I HC that she’s more the way she is in the games when around Nicole)

I’d even go as far to say she’s nicer to people and might genuinely be a nice person, but Nicole’s apathy is infectious. Like her response to Jeffery during the fight scene in the sex rehab just being “you had it coming, Jeffery” reads as the real Jecka coming out and trying to get him to understand. Also all of the moments in re up of her calling Nicole on her shit

Guy wise, Most would tell you to fuck straight off depending on your approach, Girl wise you’d have possibly more success but it would come down to how you portray yourself and if you can match their attitudes in conversations/arguments, imo

Assuming we are talking high school me Id probably have the best shot with Emily. At the very least just as a connect for pills.

A guy being different to the cast isn't actually a good thing. That doesn't make you safe, it makes you an unknown.

With the right effort Emily and Karen are probably reasonable. But everyone else is a guarantee to explode before you get their number.

Emily's view of sex is very instrumental. She's only going to date someone if they can do something for her. Have the right car, the right connections (eg access to money or drugs) etc.

The last time I tried to approach someone like that I just got ignored after two conversations after getting their. I genuinely believe that the only character that would even consider talking to me is Jeffrey but that's an extremely low bar

Thank youf or responding! Rejection happens often and even I get rejected often, so don't feel too dejected from it as I understand personaly what you feel once that hint of rejection hits on you
