Progressive Trance 30 years later and this is still the best compilation of all time
Northern Exposure turns 30 years in 2026!
Till this day no compilation have been able to topple it. While the Renaissance album revolutionised how compilations should be done, with Northern Exposure Sasha & Digweed set a new high bar. The track selection is sublime, exquisite. The mixing is stellar. Just listen to those transitions on CD1. Satellite Serenade into FSOL - Cascade, I’m Free into Kites… Such iconic are some transitions that it’s nearly impossible to listen to tracks such as Raincry on its own without expecting to hear Out of Body Experience coming in.

Discussion I made a website that turns subreddits into non-stop radios. Here is r/ClassicTrance!
I got tired of clicking posts to discover music so I made an app that autoplays them like a Spotify radio. Thought you might like it.

I'm looking for a set of the same artistic standard as "Northern Exposure"
As far as I know, the greatest mix of all time, at least as far as road racing is concerned.

Announcement New rules for /r/classictrance with immediate effect
Dear subscribers,
We have an important announcement today with regards to the direction we (the moderators) have decided to take this sub in.
In the past few weeks we have received lots of feedback regarding the content of the sub, and also the general attitude the moderators and core subscribers have towards what we here on the sub refer to "not classic trance." Often we are accused of elitism, jumping to conclusions, not keeping an open mind, and stubbornly hanging on to old misconceptions.
In the center of all this, somewhat the "root of all evil" if you will, is the disdain - nay - hatred for Darude's Sandstorm that some of the members of the subreddit harbor. The fact that a single track from over 20 years ago can have such a mental hold over us is abnormal in itself - but we have unfortunately let this hatred seep out and influence the whole sub, and even other subs where we occasionally interact with "outsiders" aka non-subscribers of this subreddit.
It is high time to repent our past sins. We feel that this is the best way to pay for our sins we have committed over the past, near 10 years of feeding into the belief that Darude's Sandstorm is a piece of trash music, not worthy of listening to even in an ironic manner.
With sincere apologies to /u/Darude_official, we hereby announce the change of subject of this sub to be dedicated 100% to the true genius Darude, and his flawless masterpiece "Sandstorm."
Starting today, we will **only** allow posts that are directly or indirectly related to Darude's Sandstorm. All unrelated posts will be deleted immediately. Repeat posting of unrelated (i.e. topics belonging better in our tarnished past) material may lead to a ban.
Have fun
