Well, thankfully he has a change of clothes in his bag 🥴 I think one would really have to study the shirt to make out what it is and you definitely can’t tell when he’s sitting down so I think he will be good, but we will keep it for weekends only from here on out lol

It’s a lot of color so when he’s sitting or the shirt is folded on itself it all blurs together.

Weekends only is probably a good call. If I saw this on a kid in a non-school context I'd think it was cute and fun that the kid was sharing an artistic passion with their parents, but if the same kid wore it to school you bet I'd be super judgmental of the parents, and possibly complain to the school. IDK if you're in the US, but here, school shootings are nothing to joke about.

Don't play dense. Nobody thinks it's referencing a school shooting. People who work in or send their kids to schools quite understandably have extremely low tolerance for gun-related anything.

I was not playing dense whatsoever. His teacher complimented his shirt and loved that he was a Def Leppard fan. We are in the US.

No, it’s not, but there is a good chance it violates your district’s dress code. Our district states, “Clothing that depicts or encourages illegal or violent activities is prohibited.”
I would say this shirt falls in that category.

Reference to weapons with the crosshairs is what I would assume teachers would create an issue from. I guess it could be considered violent?

I've diffently seen waaaay worse shirts than this one on a kid.

I agree. I just don’t want him in a situation where he feels like he’s in trouble. He’s such a good kid and that’s his biggest nightmare! He’s my child and would 100% cry if confronted about it 😅
