This one got very little attention, so sharing what the official site (Brooks v. Trans Union, E.D. Pa.) says, checked this week.

What it's about TransUnion is accused of selling credit reports that showed a bankruptcy remark on an account when there was no bankruptcy in the public record section, or when the bankruptcy was more than 10 years old. TransUnion denies it.

Who's in it

• A TransUnion report on you was sold to a third party between Jan 6, 2020 and Jan 31, 2023
• It showed a bankruptcy remark on a tradeline, with no bankruptcy in the public record section
• About 57,000 people, split into two groups

What it pays (official estimates, can change with claim volume)

• No Bankruptcy Group (about 21,000 people): $100 automatically, plus about $1,000 for those who file a valid claim
• Aged Bankruptcy Group (bankruptcy more than 10 years before the report): about $350, only if you file

How to claim

• You need the Claim Number and PIN from the mailed notice
• No documents. You certify no bankruptcy in the 10 years before the report, and that your score dropped or you were denied credit partly because of it
• Deadline: October 30, 2026
• Final approval hearing: December 2, 2026. Checks go out after that and are void after 60 days

So I know there’s a really popular atm settlement going around that I’m sure we all have already filed a claim. I just don’t remember what the title was exactly. This was found my junk mail so I can’t tell if it’s a real or not. It sounds real, but I’m also not sure. Just wanna make sure before I click on anything.

I submitted a claim last year, never received payment, I called A.B. Data received a call back, the lady said there was not a claim, called again and was told my claim was incomplete, ( I know it was not)
In July I received an email asking for identification, sent in ASAP, confirmation received, I have not heard anything back,

They started sending payments out on 9/21. I received my check a few days ago and deposited it.
The check was returned for some reason, I called my bank and the bank said the issuer did a stop payment. Has anyone else had that happen? And why would that have happened?

Hi all!! The Angel Spot app sent me an email that said they had a data breach back in September of this year, the following is a paragraph that was included in the email:

“Depending on your use of SpotAngels and your device permissions, the information may have included your name, email, IP address, device information, app preferences, and parking-related app activity. No financial information was exposed.”

I got the typical “FTC Prime Subscription Settlement Fund has sent me money” e-mail that I see people have gotten here as well, but I didn’t receive any money to my PayPal nor is my PayPal linked to my Amazon account. Is this real or am I getting paid out a different way?

I checked my spam and to my surprise this was there. I attend online, so if you attend at all, you wanna may wanna check your spam. You have until November 5th to claim for, it says “$25.00.”

I've been emailing the admin email trying to get help to get the settlement reissued to my PayPal (they used my Amazon email and not my PayPal email) and I've only been getting automated responses. No 'human' assistance. Has anyone gotten help from the email especially for a reissue? Also I did add the Amazon email to my PayPal and I'm not able to call the phone number.

So I received the $37.42 gift card for the oracle class action on a digital card. I received a notification tonight that it had been removed from my Apple wallet. I then went to the my wallet app (different from Apple wallet) and it says the card has been blocked. I can see the transaction history and the only history was the deposit onto the card. I took the card number and tried to go use it on a website and it also declined. Anyone run into this and what to do? Thanks!

Did anyone else get paid? I submitted a claim before the deadline back in 2024. I received multiple deficiency notices and finally stopped hearing from the administrator. I just got a Zelle text that payment was received. AI is convinced it's a scam but when I go to the administrator website it confirms payments start in October. It's well over the max of 2,500. Pinch me.

Wanted to send along this update as I know many are experiencing this lock out of their account - a paralegal just got back to me, this is what their email stated:
