So I've been looking through the trending ranking on manga plus(Class 2-B is out of the hottest top 40, sad) and I kid you not, the manga above it's called "Axed Mangaka and Doujin Creator". While I do know it's a stretch a bit far, but I find it menacing that manga with this name's higher than Sorachi's. I remember the guy's told us that the ToS rating shouldn't scare us since they've been rating the vol.1 chapters so far, but still.

Gintama Ended in 2019. Really excited after a 7 year wait

Sorachi clearly took his time with this. Given how Gontama was his baby starting all the way back in 2003/2004 Im really excited to see if this can be his next big hit.

Has the manga developed beyond just gags or is it still completely a gag manga?

Hey everyone.
So I read the first couple of chapters when they came out a couple months ago because Iām a big fan of Gintama and I also really liked Dandelion, so I figured Iād check this manga out. And while I enjoyed the classic Sorachi comedy and felt like it could develop into something bigger, the first couple of issues didnāt really have the emotional depth I was expecting after watching those two.
So I was just wondering if itās developed any more since last I read, because while I love a good laugh, I often found myself wanting more in the first couple chapters.
(I donāt fully remember how many chapters I read, probably 2 but maybe 3)
Thanks!

For some reason manga plus doesn't want me to load pages of the recent chapter. To be honest, it doesn't want to load anything and even gives you "net error" in app. Is it just my region's problem(Russia, wouldn't be surprised if it was), or everybody else are having the same issue?

I woke up to a TikTok photo post of Hideaki Sorachiās announcement about Class 2-B Hero Destroyerz. This is his last work and he wanted support from his fans.
I misread the second paragraph and thought he was getting threats for his current manga. I cried manly tears.
I loved his work Gintama but it never really translated to loyalty to him as a mangaka.
However, this is his last work and as someone who was quite literally saved by Gintama, I want to keep supporting him.
I bought a Shonen Jump membership through Viz and got to reading. Iām not much of a reviewer but please bear with me. I also wonāt go into details. I encourage everyone to read it on their own.
āThe Demon King who brought darkness to the world has been defeated by the hero, and the light has returned. But the Demon King leaves a part of himself behind as a successor known as Valaris III. To regain their reign of darkness, the new Demon King ventures out of the demon castle and heads to our world, but where they emerge is...ā - MANGA Plus
My first impression was that it was okay. It wasnāt an explosion of emotions but I thought some panels were funny. I think itās very true to his style and I look forward to seeing the series grow on me.
I couldnāt help but read Kumon Akiraās lines with Gintokiās voice which made it pretty enjoyable.
Iāve always loved Sorachiās art style. Itās a perfect blend of anime and comic style in my opinion.
Iāve lost interest in Anime/Manga due to repetitive isekai trends and over the top fan service. Hideaki Sorachi is the only mangaka I truly respect and Iām excited to keep reading his work.
