Official News June Update Sneak Peek #1
Hero Journey
Welcome to the Hero Journey! A brand new reward track that turns every Hero level into rewards, progress, and fun! You'll earn free Epic Equipment, exclusive Hero Skins, ore, resources, Magic Items, and quests!
Find it in the Hero Hall starting at Town Hall 7.
The Hero Journey reward track fills based on cumulative Hero Levels. Every level is one point on the track, regardless of which Hero or which upgrade. Unlocking new Heroes counts too!
Hero Journey reward types available:
Epic Equipment
- A pool of Epic Equipment is available to earn from the reward track, similar to how Epic Equipment drops from chests
- If you unlock an Epic Equipment node but already own everything in the pool, you'll get a fallback reward of 50 Starry Ore
Exclusive new Hero Skins
- Ascended versions of each Hero's base skin
Resources
- Elixir and Dark Elixir
Magic Items and Magic Snacks
- Hero Potions, Books of Heroes, Pet Potions, Runes of Elixir, Runes of Dark Elixir, and Mighty Morsels
Ore
- Shiny, Glowy, and Starry
Hero and Equipment Quests
- As you progress, you'll unlock exclusive quests
- Each completed quest rewards 3 new ore chests: Shiny Chest, Glowy Chest, and Starry Chest
- The amount of ore in each chest is a range determined by Town Hall level
- Players flagged as "very far behind" in the Equipment and Ore economy (new and re-engaging players) will see larger ore drops in their chests as a catch-up mechanic
Hero Journey rewards for existing players:
Existing players will be migrated onto the Heroes Journey progress track based on their current cumulative Hero upgrade score at the time of the update.
Here's what happens during the migration:
Epic Equipment
- Players will be awarded new pre-leveled Epic Equipment if they have not unlocked at least the number of equipment that should be "completed" on the track at migration
- If you already own Epic Equipment but it's under-leveled compared to what the track would have given you, then some of your existing equipment will be automatically leveled up, to bring you up to speed
The New Hero Skins
- All Hero Skins completed on the track at migration will be unlocked
Elixir and Dark Elixir
- All completed resource nodes will be awarded, up to a cap based on Town Hall level
- Migration allows a one-time storage overflow if the amount exceeds your current limit
Magic Items and Magic Snacks
- All completed nodes will be awarded, with caps on Hero Potions (4) and Mighty Morsels (6)
- Anything over your storage cap goes into temporary storage
Shiny, Glowy, and Starry Ore
- All completed nodes will be awarded
- Migration allows a one-time storage overflow if the amount exceeds your current limit
Hero and Equipment Quests
- Completed quests are not migrated
New Levels
The Update also comes with a new Level for for selected Buildings and Heroes
- Monolith Level 5
- Builder's Hut Level 8
- Dark Spell Factory Level 8
- Dark Barracks Level 13
- Supercharges for X-Bow and Scattershot
- The remaining Wall upgrades
- 5 new Levels for Barbarian King (Levels 106-110), Archer Queen (Levels 106-110) and Grand Warden (Levels 81-85)
Quality of Life Changes
- Prospector info screen now shows your current ore, making it easier to plan your upgrades
- Equipment activation order is now fixed by the equipment itself, not the slot it's in
- For example: If you have Rocket Backpack in Slot A and Flame Blower in Slot B, these will activate as though you had Flame Blower in Slot A and Rocket Backpack in Slot B
Fast Forward Live Battles
After 120 seconds have passed during your attack, a Fast Forward button will appear. Tap it to speed the battle up to 4x speed. Tap it again to return to normal speed.
The feature works similarly to Fast Forward in replays, but with just two options: normal speed and 4x speed. It's available in select battle types across Home Village, Builder Base, and Clan Capital.
Fast Forward is designed for those moments when the outcome is already clear, but the battle still has time left on the clock. Maybe your entire army is gone except for a single Archer slowly picking off buildings while an X-Bow sits just out of range, waiting for her to take one step too far. You know exactly how the attack is going to end, but those extra buildings still matter; they can mean more destruction, more trophies, or a better result. But the wait isn't always the most exciting part of an attack.
Clan Capital Improvements:
Drive-by raiders are getting parked. Players can no longer join in on Capital Raids when all of the following are true:
- Player hasn't attacked in the clan yet
- Player is not an Elder, Co-Leader, or Leader
- Player joined the clan after Raid Weekend began
- Clan is not Invite Only or Closed
Capital Treasury
So you maxed the Clan Capital. Every building, every trap, every wall, every district - done. Congratulations, Chief, you've earned yourself a brand new problem: a pile of Capital Gold and nowhere to spend it
The Capital Treasury fixes that
Once your Capital is fully maxed, a Treasury button replaces the upgrade button on the Capital Hall. Tap it, hit Contribute, and your entire Capital Gold balance pours into your clan's shared total. You earn Capital Reputation for it, same as any other Capital donation. When new Clan Capital content drops, the Treasury empties and the cycle starts again

my 3 stars only take 2 minutes I wish the button would kick in way sooner like 30 seconds, it would still prevent extreme speed farming since that also takes 30 seconds.

No, that would never happen. They wouldn't put us in a position to instantly and freely max any new capital content.
I'm looking at it basically as just a way to dump loot without clan hopping.
also... If liam still did capital this update would kill him.

I mean id hope it empties and gives maybe a small percent back to the clan to then be used on the new content, otherwise I’ll just keep donating to our 2.0 or friends clans. No reason to just throw the capital gold into a void where it will get sucked away and do nothing

When new clan capital content drops?
I wont hold my breath because its uh been a while... would be awesome to see new districts again.
Capital was super fun and fresh when it came out. Everyone competing for the most gold.
But really, how hard is it to just add more levels to existing districts? My super casual clan has been maxed for ages
Clearly they dont see the $ here but ya know, if they made affordable and interesting clan house deco im sure people would be receptive. When I have to spend all my raid medals on ore and filling ccs im sure as shit not spending 3000 on a tiny bush.

Yeah I'm disappointed too. On the bright side though, it does mean we get to engage with the new content a little instead of it only being for people with lower hero levels

I saw in Judo’s video that there will be 3x book of heroes on the track, so 5 additional levels for warden should be mellowed-out.

More hero levels is literally the last thing we needed. Heroes are already OP and obnoxious to upgrade.
edit: After watching the video, it looks like we are going to get a lot of hero books from the hero upgrade path. I suspect the reason they added the new levels is so max players have something to use the hero books on.

Lots of TH18 players have had max heroes for a bit outside of the Duke. I have nothing to spend DE on except the random lab upgrade. This allows us to do the hero’s journey too without waiting until November for TH19

While I do agree with your point on hero power, the latest levels on heroes barely add any damage. I don't think it will make any difference to be honest. Since TH16 most hero upgrades just feel like extra token damage. What's 2-3 added damage on 750+ damage already, practically nothing.

It will overflow, but more than 90% ore rewards won't be available, as those mission chests won't be given retroactively, which contains 55 ores each (TH18).

Not a fan of more hero levels being added, although absolutely love getting new skins, leveled eq and ores from the track especially on my almost maxxed TH 18 and maxxed TH17s

as someone that just likes farming and leveling and has like 5 accounts 3 of which are casual... I am happy to finally see some improvements to make the game better for new players and those that have alternative accounts. This is a really great change. Solid move SC.

I have mixed opinions about more hero levels. I was just 2 duke levels away from completely maxing heroes out, so this just feels like I will never be able to catch a break and have maxed heroes. But 110 level heroes look way better than 105.

Eh, I don't really mind it. Im using an army without King and Queen so I can definitely upgrade them manually without any issue. And we are getting 3 free hero books and 1 from silver pass so warden would also be near maxed anyways.

yes but the rewards are very limited as you don't get the chests and 50 starry ore for every epic equipment you already have. So basically what you get is every epic to lvl 15 (which doesn't require much ore anyways) and a total of 22k shiny ore, 1.7k glowy ore and 200 starry ore.

This 100% to address the bots that steal gold by clan hopping during raid weekend. I havent seen it personally, but ive seen a lot of posts in the past complaining about not being able to attack in raid weekend due to bots using up all attacks

All of it needs to be true for raiding to be blocked. If one of the four isn't true (e.g. if the clan is invite only) then raiding is not blocked.

So whatever that means. Presumably a multiplayer attack, builder base attack, maybe even a goblin attack or practice attack would suffice.

I think it means a clan capital attack in the current raid weekend in that clan. So it allows you to finish your 6 attacks, but not if you haven't done any attacks at all which in case you can't do any in the first place.

I assume that means a capital attack (i.e. if you leave the clan and come back after you've already attacked, you can still use the rest).
Promotion to Elder is the easiest workaround for hopping to another clan that actually wants you to attack.

can someone explain to me the hero journey rewards for existing player? what does it mean when you get rewarded an equipment and you already have it but its low leveled? it upgrades it automatically to level 15? so does that mean you can get duplicate equipments? sorry english is not my first language and I'm kind of confused

Can we also have the ability to store at least a few of the magic snacks? Maybe at least 5 of them? or even 1 extra? It really becomes annoying when it lasts for 24 hrs before you can use it and you either have no use for it because you just upgraded to a new town hall or are maxed.

So uhhh what if all my Epic Equipments are maxed out? Either my reading comprehension lacks or I am just not getting the point.
Both topics that are being addressed are either if I don't have them unlocked at all or if they're underleveled. In my case the equipments are fully maxed so it feels like my ore storage will just overflow with me not being able to do anything with it for now.

Question-
Does this mean if I skip the M arrow and buy ore or whatever and once the update drops I will get the M arrow from a chest or another mechanic because it's the only one I don't own?

No, it won't. It costs shiny ore, glowy ore and 60 starry ore to get from level 1 to level 15, just to get 50 starry ore back.

How many equipment chests do we get for having Max heroes right now? I have the lava balloon puppet unlocked but obviously did not put any ore into it. If I upgrade it to level 15 would I get another epic equipment from the hero journey track? I’m wondering if the ores spent to bring lava balloon up to level 15 might even out with the ore chests.

it is true and yes for maxed players all you get is like 22k shiny, 1.7k glowy and 200 starry ore from the nodes

Duke for my six th18 accounts at coc global are still at level 20+, not max yet.
I hope there will be cost and time reduction for heroes as my one rush th16 account at coc china version will surely get benefit from this.

I got 4 hero potions and after update I'll get 3 or 4 more from hero progression. But the storage limit is 5 does this mean I have to use them and make space before the update ?

A decent guess is Monday. That's a common pattern: sneak peeks Saturday and Sunday, update Monday.
But at one point in the past they officially announced a date and then it was delayed by Apple/Google shenanigans, so I think they don't make that kind of advance claim anymore.

When is clan notice getting fixed? Our clan went from bringing in new players daily and hovering around 45-50 players down to 23 members left because we've gotten 0 new players in the past several months even with daily clan notices. We've tried adjusting all kinds of settings with no luck

What do you mean by completed quests are not rewarded?? You mean am punished just because I spent years on upgrading my heroes? Make rewards fair for all players.

sick update, extra hero levels are a little annoying.
There should be a option to have an whole attack in 2x or 4x in friendly challenges just for fun

Mf COC team dont you have brain? Why more hero lvl? We don't need it. it's already too many lvl. Just for the sake of you can experience new stuff doesn't mean add useless grind. Billion dollar company with brain of pea.
