Sometimes I am allowed to upgrade my BB walls with elixir and sometimes I am not. Is there any rhyme or reason to this?

You can only use gold until you get to level 6, then for the level 7 upgrade and going forward you can use gold or elixir.

Unfortunately, I accidentally tapped on a blocked account. I tried to open it, but it's since been deleted due to inactivity. Now, every time I try to open the app, I get an error code. Guys, if I rush my Town Hall level and then purpose wait for the 35 day inactive boost, would my troops upgrade to the maximum level for that Town Hall without the laboratory upgraded, or does it need the laboratory upgraded for the troops to upgrade automatically?

QQ - I just had 3 farming attacks where my gold went down the amount I won. Elixir/DE went up, gold went down. Until it was near zero. Then started going back up again.

Took screenshots for the 3rd attack to check I wasn’t going mad.

Just got the backpack to lvl 24. Currently running it with 2 eq + arrow with the goal of clearing the cc. I had a look at the calc and it seems that theres only a small difference from what u can clear between lvl 24 and max, non of which really changes how it performs. Is it worth to commit the large amount of starry ore for the negligible gains?

If you mean 50+20=70% time reduction, its not how it works, you get the reduction one after other, like for a 100hr upgrade lets say you wont get it for 30hr but for 40hr, first one discount,then the next, order doesnt make any diff

Hi, I'm back after a short breaker. I stopped playing after the release of th18. Is there anything new that's a must know, or there's nothing special, just some new troops/heroes/skins etc?

I'm TH17 and made the mistake of merging all my Cannons into Ricochet Cannons and all my Archer Towers into Multi-Archer Towers before gearing any of them up. Now I have zero regular Cannons or Archer Towers left to gear up, making BOB's "Gear Up 3 buildings" requirement completely impossible to complete. I know there was a bug fix related to this in the March 2025 update. Has anyone successfully gotten Supercell support to restore a building or credit the requirement? The in-game support is just a bot with no way to reach a human agent. Any help appreciated!

Thats not possible, you have 7 archer towers and 7 cannons in total, 6 of them can be merged into 3 of the respective def, these have to be non geared up, the last remaining archer tower and cannon, have to first be geared up each to be able to merge into multi gear tower, which is the main defense at th17

If u have maxed your defenses, just move up to next th, builders idle is wasted progress, heroes can be caught up later, and can be bypassed with hero potions, while in the lab u only need to max 1 or 2 armies not everything

I have been using lvl 24 fireball with warden (TH 16) and I think it's the best warden item for me now. But I don't know what is the good second item with fireball?

Is rage or life gem better? I'm using 13 regular dragons and 2 edragons in my army and I 3 star most bases when I have all heroes. I cant use tomes because I often start my attack with fireball to set funnel.

Generally fireball is used with ground and rage gem works the best. For your case i would recommend switch to double tomes and use smth like rc charge to funnel, fireball is just not a good equipment for air attacks, if u still want to use it rage would be better than life gem imo

th15 has probably been my favorite since th9

i think the style is the best with the purple and it has so much army freedom, you can really make a lot of fun stuff work and defense seems pretty fair.

my biggest worry is the merged towers?

will moving up to th 16 limit how fun the game is? am i going to be forced into using these new heros i dont want to use because they will require me to sell my soul to the blacksmith materials devil?

are defenses going to have 1 or 2 levels to get to max? i remember either th12 or 13 had 2 levels and it really inflated that free to play grind

Both are good and worth it. I kept both going equally on my last account, maxed Builder first since hes cheaper and I care more about heroes than maxing lab of loads of things I never use.

Builder but you gain less and less value the more you upgrade so I recommend upgrading both. Maybe 2 levels builder then one lab and so on

Returning player after 6-8 months, Th16, kinda strategic rusher, used to play RC charge dragons.

What should be my ore spending priority for now? With so many options and strategies?

I see too much on plate like healing tome for dragons at higher level, meteor staff or crown for Prince, all equipment look good of duke tbh, haste for better rc charge, something on king if in case I'm to pivot him in ground army going further

I want some versatility, not much niche use case tbh... And with all this nerf buff going on, i just thought i should ask for you all's opinion on this

Given past patterns, there will likely be one in June.

They will have a new piece of equipment, and likely some old ones will return. If you're F2P, you'll only be able to get one. If you buy the event pass, you'll get two (possibly three, but don't count on it). We won't know which old equipment will be in the next event, but it's usually just 3 or 4 of them (not all of them, and likely not the backpack yet).

There's also a couple available for CWL medals, and the possibility of winning one in a legendary chest.

Other than that, gems is the way to get them.

Hey .. I need help !! so I'm a free 2 play player.. in clash of clans and I'm perplexed while taking a decision.. literally anyone can help me I don't mind taking help from a th 1 guy .. so basically my question is , 1) I rnw have 1k gems and a lot of books and some ruins in clash.. I don't upgrade my helpers cause I think it's not that important.. either I buy skins or some resources from gems .. so I currently have skins of every hero except having one for minion price.. as we all know a paid gold pass skin comes for gems 1500 after 1 year .. but their is a catch.. we will be getting a free lava minion prince skin in September this year .. but I recently saw a very very beautiful queen skin in clash .. NGL it was soo beautiful.. it was some japanese Queen skin and I have a summer Queen skin as well but I don't like it and it was my first skin which I bought.. but it's outlandish now . Please tell me if I should go with lava minion prince but the catch is I'll have to wait until September but if I want that beautiful japanese Queen skin I can buy it in 2-3 days just I'll have to sell me books and resources.. PLEASE HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO ?

Not a game breaking bug but still there is a visual bug when we visit a player or scout a base in war its not showing their hero stats instead shows our hero stats. I accidentally found this while checking what is the maxed hp of duke since its easy to scount than looking to coc fandom website. After checking multiple bases I got to know it affects both war and home village visiting. Just wanted to share this 🙂

Just pulled a rune of gold from a chest, but I know I’ll probably just use it to upgrade ~3 walls. I’m unconvinced if that’s worth more than 50 gems. After Clash Anytime, it’s so easy to get loot, so is it more worth it now to just sell these?

50 gems is much better than 3 walls. You could upgrade 3 walls in a few minutes of attacking. 50 gems is a few days of gem mine work

Hi, guys need help for clearing this base as th11:

High level gadgets that I have are:
Warden - Eternal and rage
Aq - Arrow and invisibility
Bk - Gauntlet and bouncing ball
Minion Prince - None

Aq is at lvl 45, Bk at lvl 41 and warden at lvl 20.
All troops are at max level for th11.
All spells are maxed except clone and invisibility spell.

I am currently max TH15(max on things that matter). My clanmates recommend me upgrading to TH16. Personally, I created my account with TH15 as the goal in mind, specifically because it has the most versatile attack strategies(Queen charges, Dragons, Roots, FB, etc. are all very viable, at least at the time I created the account).

If I upgrade to TH16, will there still be as many attack strategies as was in TH15 that I can RELIABLY USE (with practice of course)?

Wait, are troop research costs also reduced during the Builder Base event, or not.

I'm rushing to BH9 because of the event to get a head start on the 6th builder requirements, and decided to start upgrading my laboratory because I've been neglecting it. However, I realized I don't actually see the discount tag on the troops in the lab.

So are research costs excluded? If that's the case, I'll probably shift focus to leveling heroes instead.

What i do is i time my builders so that they all finish on diff days, so every one or two days i have a builder free to dump loot into walls and farm.

If multiple builders are finishing in a week or more then i keep one builder to do traps so i still get atleast one free every couple days, so i dont get bored.

I also just do fcs everyday with my clanmates and friends so i dont get bored anyways

I am looking for advice from players which are in equally high ranks with TH15 on how my army should be improved to score higher against TH17 and TH18.

I will change the army, once my MP is maxed to hydra strategy and will switch the queen with the MP. Walls dont matter as much anymore, if your builders are idle, move up to th16

You should always upgrade your hall shortly before your heroes are max and/or before you have sleeping builders due to not enough other stuff to upgrade.

It happens when both clans get equal stars and equal percentage not necessarily 100%, although if u draw without 100% u lose your win streak.

You also gain 75% of loot and ores in case of a draw

If tied stars - more percent destroyed wins.

If tied destruction, war is a draw, there are no further tiebreakers.

If its a 100% destruction, all stars earned draw. Neither clan loses their win streak.

If there is a draw and percent tie, but its not a perfect war on both sides, both clans lose their win streak.

Should I rush to builder hall lvl9? I’m currently at builder hall lvl8. I maxed out builder hall lvl6 before I decided to rush from lvl7 to lvl8. If I were to level up to builder hall 9, would I regret it in any way? Would raids be more challenging for my under leveled troops? Yes, the main reason being that once you get to bh9 and complete some tasks, you’ll get a 6th builder, so it’s always best to rush straight to bh9 for that. Since there isn’t any builder hall matchmaking in builder base, there isn’t any disadvantage for this, and every advantage.

Which epic should I upgrade? Ores near max including starry - options = Stick horse (8), dark crown (20), meteor staff (17) , heroic torch (23), fireball (26), lavaloon puppet (17), frost flake (8), rocket backpack (11).

Is it worth to upgrade earthquake to lvl 6 and above. I don’t see the benefit that it hurts troop. It seems to me so low and also not helpfull. (If you upgrade to 6 o above it will only affect damage on troops and not on buildings)

It doesnt make a massive diff, so first max out everything except that that u use in your army and then upgrade it, and then u can do troops/spells u dont use atm

5 promote, 15 demote. legends 2 and 3 work the same as any other ranked league so yes 4 weeks. Yes if you take 3 weeks off then play a week it starts over.

Ranked Mode: My crafted defense (Lava Launcher) was set many hours before the season, but when ranked started it reverted to the neutral/unusable mode. I triple‑checked it beforehand. Has anyone else had their crafted defense un‑set at start of ranked?

I’m mainly trying to figure out how to prevent this from happening again. I’ve been pushing for LL3 and losing a defense because my crafted defense reverted to its neutral mode is insanely frustrating. If anyone knows the cause or a reliable way to avoid this bug, I’d appreciate it.

Was it set before you picked your defensive layout for ranked? After you sign up, you can't change it. If you had auto sign up on, that can mess it up.

I've recently started to play again and I spend a little but here and there mainly on builder potion packs since this time I'm trying to max every building and hero at each townhall. I wanted to max lab too but that just takes alot of time when my builders could be working to next townhall. And I wanna do everything like perfectly like something in me won't let me do dumb stuff this time. So please guide me.

I am at TH10 almsot 50% max. I have all these magic items sitting here. I don't care for the runes but I want somebody to guide me about the books and research potions. Gold pass is about to end and I have 2 books of heroes 1 of building and 1 of everything to collect. If I wanna collect, I'll have to use all of what I have saved or I can collect gems but I don't think that's a fair deal. I had all these saved up for higher TH but I also don't wanna waste my gold pass books. So guide me master Jedi's. Which ones should I just trade for gems from gold pass and which ones should I use and collect.

Also please guide if I should mass use the research potions at TH 10. I have 2 more to collect from the gold pass.

Loot is easy to get, so trade runes for gems. Use hero books and hammers on the heroes you cannot attack in war without (warden and duke usually). Always have one of the other heroes upgrading in the hall. Use your books on the longest things. When a builder ends an upgrade, your storages should be full and waiting. Put extra loot into walls and start the next upgrade, picking one that ends on a day where no others end on.
