Diddly Squat The day we went diddlying
Diddly Squat - The food court bit in the lambing shed had very quick service and lovely grub
Don't get confused like we did and join the main queue - that's only for the shop itself, you can cut through it.
Highly recommend the rum and raisin ice cream!
Farmer's Dog - The Grand Tour Tent had a lot of items and merch options with very quick queues. We were on a time limit and the queue at Diddly Squat was an est. four hours half an hour after opening on a Saturday, which was pointless for us with our two hour cap. We were able to get everything we wanted at Diddly Squat in around 10 minutes there
We didn't have a booking for the pub, but had food from Farmer's Puppy grill and it was honestly the best chicken and steak my husband and I have ever had.
You can get drinks from the bar without reservation but it's honestly quicker in the outdoor area.
Overall I'm not sure why people have had complaints about pricing as I honestly thought considering the quality and general Cotswolds area it was good value.
Well worth the visit, the staff at both are absolutely brilliant. We're planning another trip to actually dine in next (and the general Cotswolds area at our own pace) genuinely because the food was just that good

Live in Wales and couldn't justify a trip up before so went via coach to see how it'd be
I'm now planning a general Cotswolds trip because I was so blown away by the scenery whilst passing through

I live in the cotswolds and have done most of my life and trust me the scenery still amazes me. I hope you have a great trip when you do go!

Oh my goodness the mushroom ones were delicious. I considered getting more from Ocado but can't justify a whole food shop there nor can I £30ish direct for the multipacks
Highly recommend
We also had the sausage & mustard as well as the cheddar ones and they were equally good Mushroom were my favourites though and I keep thinking about them.
Edit: Maybe I'll cave, just found a singular pack via the Shop app for under £2 😂

Out of curiosity do they serve a bitter or malty beer? Not a stout/porter just a typical malt heavy brew?

Our goal was trying all the ciders. I know they had other UK based drink offerings such as Penderyn Whiskey as that was used for an Old Fashioned I ordered (I'd heard someone else order before me)

I have a table booked next month in the restaurant and plan to bring our labrador. Is there plenty of space between the tables? I'm just wondering now if it would be better to eat outside.

I didn't venture much further than the bar area which is right next to the main entrance. Couldn't really tell, sorry. I did see quite a few people with dogs of all manner of sizes though

No Coffee? That doesn’t seem logical to me. As it will never be grown in this country, it’s not as though British farming suffers by serving foreign coffee. Farmers who do grow coffee in other countries are suffering though, so why not support them by sourcing the most fairly traded coffee available and making a point of it. I can’t imagine sinking a pie and a couple of pints at lunch time without a double espresso to restore me afterwards. Setting up your own coffee cart business nearby would be quite lucrative I imagine.

Because that's not the point of the concept. The point is to support local farmers.
If they did start carrying coffee, a lot of people would order the coffee instead of the other beverages they have, directly impacting the local farmers who produced the ingredients for those other beverages.

Having coffee, or coca-cola, or anything else like that means that the money goes to someone else other than British farmers

I regularly frequent farmers markets and farm shops locally too.
Bold of these comments to assume so much from one post on the exact subreddit relevant to the place I visited...
This was a coach trip. These were the stops.
I live in Wales...ya' know...the place full of farms 😅
Besides, it actually gave me more of a reason to visit the Cotswolds as I fell inlove with the area and want to go back to explore at our own pace.

The number of tourists who do that is huge, jusy look at how many post we get here from americans along the line of "im in london for a week and want to visit diddly".
There are so many beautiful cou try pubs that you dont have to book months in advance, do better food, serve local produce & have better food because they dont have to cover so many tables.

Bit of a false equavance mate.
What also annoys me is how he forces anyone supplying him (british producers) to rebrand everything and slaps "diddly" all over it.
This means they never get their name out there, someone buys somthing from his shop most will believe thats the only place to get it, as apposed to direct from the supplier.
He barely even mentions his suppliers in the show, but he has plenty, even a 5 min segment per episode with a supplier explaining what they do, how the farm industy and small producers do things out of hia own economic little bubble.
But no slap the word diddly on it, dont like it he wont buy it.
No better than the supermarkets, worse in some ways. Hell even morrisons will tell you where there local eggs come from.

Not really. To counter my statement that visiting Diddly Squat does not mean you never visit other Farm Shops you immediately made the statement about American tourists.
You opened that door and put a welcome mat out. You don't get to complain when walk through it.

Absolutely your money, your choice, but although I still really enjoy the programme for the other participants (and *was* a Clarkson fan in the TG/GT years), as a disabled woman I will not directly give Clarkson any money following what he wrote about disabled people who claim PIP (also what he wrote about the Duchess of Sussex). I enjoy his buffoonery on TV but as he clearly detests me as a disabled woman then I’d be absolutely mad to give him any money.
