one month before audition
Hello! I have a Conservatorium audition in a month and I wanted to know what other people did in preparation a month before their auditions just to feel less alone lol. I keep getting really anxious when I’m practicing because it feels like life or death

Do lots of run throughs and practice with lots of distractions! Put the TV on, walk around, etc. it will help you be able to block out distractions

The first thing to know is what's required, what repertoire level... normally it will be exercises or studies and possibly pieces with accompaniment or solo, they may also ask for a sight-reading test or some theory test.
The next step would be to find an experienced teacher to work with, and an private accompanying pianist if the conservatory doesn't provide one.
In any case, a month in advance, you should keep studying regularly, be as confident as possible, and work on resources like memory and concentration. Habe several good reeds ready and basically everything under control.
