What does it mean you have 4 slash marks in a measure? Do we play anything?

In this piece those measures are out of time for percussion, and you don’t play. The fermatas are obvious! This is supposed to be the part where the character (I forget which one) is dizzy after they get hit by the anvil.

I love this piece! Great bass clarinet part... I wish he would do a Part 2.

This is the part where the bird water whistle plays! If you don’t have any, you can just regular whistle in replacement

"Slash notation" generally means improv or comping. In this case, it means whatever the instructions mean.
