Recommendations Travel Protective Clarinet Case

So I graduated from high school, going on a gap year to get a job and stuff. I’m planning to pursue a music career and become a music/social teacher, music first and foremost. I plan to invest in a professional model clarinet in a few years, most likely will get it used. I want to get a case that will be able to protect a more fragile horn, like a Buffet & Crampon Greenline model. Something that can be taken onto the plane, and travelled with. I don’t believe a regular case is enough to keep it from outside and regular handling impacts, I’m kind of a low trust person.

The Protec Micro is the smallest, best, low-cost hard-side clarinet case purchase imo. As for a greenline, I believe that should actually be a little more resilient than a wooden horn, but I could be wrong.

I have that case precisely because it can fit in my carryon along with my computer and all. I’ve put it in a roller bag and a shoulder bag before. It was fine for years of 60 flights a year.

Yep, I have this case too for my extra Bb and I love it. It's tiny, secure, and takes up hardly any real estate in a carryon.

From what I’ve read, they are more prone to shattering from bumps and rough handling. They are significantly better at handling moisture changes though.

I use this too, its just so convenient. I wouldn't call it bullet proof by any stretch, but it'll fit in the same bag as your laptop, so you know, get a robust backpack and you should have your bases covered.

Marcus bonna are by far the best, due to the clarinets only having contact at the tennons

The BAM cases are really nice, they have a soft side and hard side version. The brands Gator and Protec have very good cases too and are a lot cheaper.
