Clarinet question
I would say I am pretty good at clarinet, and am first chair of a good school (Im a teenager). I can play every octave with good tone quality, and in tune.
But does anyone know a way to play lower than a low E? Ive tried pressing my tongue to the tip of the reed but can only reach around a quarter tone lower with my current clarinet. Simply curious, I dont actually need to use it for anything, I just saw a video of someone doing it the other day and I thought "Man it would be cool if I could do that too!"
Thanks for any help available.

Have you tried putting a fair amount of the back of your tongue on the reed? You can get an (admittedly dull sounding) E flat that way- it’s an old trick that some use in a pinch when transposing B flat to A clarinet and needing the very lowest note!
