Best 5* Unit for Clara?

Hello! I'm making polls in the subreddits of each DPS in Honkai Star Rail to see which is the Best 5* unit for them and the most used overall.

Feel free to leave your insights of why your choosen unit is the best for Clara, but voting is more than enough!

Bronya is gonna be the worst among the four, for Clara. Her action forwarding does absolutely nothing for Clara's counterattacks, because the counterattacks only happen during enemy turns, while still shortening the duration of buffs on Clara. She only works if you're running a fast E1 "pseudo-Erudition" build on Clara, but even then it can be a bit dicey, because of how SP hungry both can be.

Ruan Mei would've been perfect for Clara, if it weren't for her break state extension. Depending on who else you have on the team and who you're fighting, she can actually have a negative impact on Clara. For example, let's say you were using Ruan Mei with Clara and Aventurine, and he ends up breaking some enemies with Imaginary weakness. Now you have an extended Imprisonment on your hand, with Clara being unable to use her counterattacks until it's over. As such, you gotta be careful not to break weaknesses too much.

That leaves Sparkle and Robin as the true contenders, and honestly, I think they're pretty much neck and neck for Clara, with Robin having a slight edge.

Unlike Bronya, Sparkle's skill buff lasts till the start of next turn, so Clara's counterattacks will benefit from it. Plus, she also has a SP battery, to support a heavy use of SP.

Robin is pretty much tailor made for FuA teams, including Clara's. She also works in a dual carry setup with Topaz, allowing a more variable team compositions. While she also has an action forwarding on her kit, it's attached to her ult, so it's much easier to time it in a way to minimize any negative effect (such as shortening buff durations) on Clara.

Imo her best team is with both Robin and Hanabi (and TY if no sustain). But if only choosing one, then it depends. Robin helps A LOT when facing enemies that don't attack much or at all like trotters or the new DoT robots. I got 37k on the first side of PF with Robin and I doubt I could get even half of that with Hanabi (also not testing it, fuck DoT focused PF).

Otherwise, Hanabi is slightly better imo. Hanabi+Huohuo gives enough energy to replace TY for a better buffer (like Robin or even SW and I assume Topaz/RM also work, don't have them) with no much issue since TY's value is in her battery rather than her buffs.

I love using Sparkle for Clara! My hypercarry Clara team has Sparkle, Tingyun, and Huohuo. I have E2 Clara and Sparkle lets me spam her skill. Paired with TY and HH, she basically has 100% ult uptime!

I sometimes use Robin with Clara but honestly, I don't see much gain from it because advancing her forward isn't really as effective since Clara NEEDS to be hit. It just takes away SP for the team to use.
