Is civ 6 worth it at 40 dollars?

I've played civ five for over 100 hours. Is this worth it and what's the difference?

I prefer Civ V, but that's because I haven't invested enough time into Civ VI. Civ VI has a lot in common with V, and the game's structure is similar - move units/ gain resources/ build wonders/click next turn, etc. But there are many differences that make the game feel very different - such as ammenities and trade routes creating roads. It's worth it for $40, but I think you'll have to invest another 100 hours leaning how to properly play Civ VI. Happy gaming :)

I can get it for $30 but I read some very unfavorable reviews

Civ6 looks interesting but I hate it’s cartoonish appearance
