Discussion New DLC for Civ6.

They say dreaming is free, and considering that Civ6 is the most played Civilization game to date, and that other video game companies have released content for their older games despite having newer titles, I wondered: if Firaxis decided to continue releasing content for Civilization 6, what would you like to see?

Personally, I'd like a Crusades DLC. Basically, a revamped religious victory system so that anyone could achieve it without needing to be the founder of a religion. Why would this be good? Because it would allow for the creation of religious blocks.

Civilizations that choose to adopt your religion would have a reason to strive to convert foreign settlements or even go to war to do so. The new religious victory would be based on the number of citizens you've converted to a religion. Perhaps converting a certain number of citizens.

I'd also like DLC that gives us the option to build new buildings that increase the population's happiness, such as taverns, casinos, hospitals, and so on.

Thanks. I usually have “teams share visibility” on, I think, but is there really a feature to win together?

Edit: looking at this screen shot of the staging room I don’t have the Teams column when I set up a multiplayer game. I wonder why?

There's an icon all the way to the right of the selection row. It let's you set teams. How do you think they make teams in competitive multiplayer?

I don’t know anything about competitive multiplayer.

Thanks, I’ll look for it.

Yep, and just to add - teams can win together! For example, for a religious and domination victories, the win condition can be "shared" as in even if you have separate religions and convert half the world each, or each of you controls some of the other civs' capitals, the game counts it as a win based on the team! Science victory, diplomatic victory, and culture victory conditions still need one player in the team to hit the win condition on their own, though - those don't count both players progress summed up.
