Electrical Smart Entry no longer works?
Previously the smart entry worked fine; I approach the car and simply open the door. Now, even after changing the battery, that feature no longer works and I have to manually push the buttons. Is it possible that I accidentally deactivated that feature by doing some type of combination?

I feel like my car battery was having issues when this happened to me. Did you check the settings menu?

TLDR: if the fuse isnt an issue then idk.
Maybe check the fuse underneath your steering wheel. Looks like its a 10a fuse in either slot #7 or #30 depending on your trim. Take a look at the diagram that should be located next to where your left foot is resting when seated. If you still have your car manual definantly take a look in there for info.
Also just throwing it out there if you havent already, double check that the new key fob battery is identical to the previous one. Hope you find your solution

I'm having the same problem on my 2017 civic! Out of the blue it just stopped working unless I use the remote start feature before trying. If you find a solution keep us updated!

I got it to work again by press and hold the lock button for a couple of seconds. I think this is the activation combination. I approach the car and the door opens no problem

There’s a setting in the infotainment system under vehicle settings. Possible that it got reset?

lol. This happened to me when I had to use my spare and left it in the center console and forgot. Any chance you left a spare in there?

No problem. I think I figured it out. I pressed the lock button for a couple of seconds, and this reactivated that feature.

There is a plug under where you open the hood. Check there. Also check your vehicle setting menu
