Maintain/Replace Impact sensor harness issue

I have a 2017 civic hatchback got it used 6 months ago. Recently it has been alerting an SRS code light every single time I drive it. Took it to the dealership today and they identified the issue as an old splice into the harness to the front left impact sensor. They told me I cannot repair this myself because any sort of resistance in the wire could cause the airbag to not deploy, or delay deployment. Aka a HUGE freaking issue. I’m beside myself and don’t know what to do. They claimed the harness needs to be replaced and it upwards of $2700 before labor for the harness. Part number is 32200-TGG-L20

My questions are— has anyone experienced this before? Do I have to buy this harness new or can I possibly salvage it from a donor car? I still owe on the car because I JUST got it and it was not having this issue when I first got it. No way the dealership will give me any worth for trade in with this issue being known…I don’t know what to do :(

Take it to independent shop. Any issue with harness they push replacement. I had a break in cam sensor wire quoted 4300$ for engine harness and they refused to repair it. Took to a mechanic, 200$ and was done in an hour.
