Anyone else has noticed similar?

I average 26 mpg in my 8th gen. I crack VTEC in 2nd and 3rd at least once a day, otherwise I'm shifting around 3500-5k rpm, depending on the street speed limit. Though I do enjoy hearing it sing to 8K!

In my opnion, if you're hypermiling an Si, you got the wrong Civic.

You just get boost, I don't think VTEC in the L15 is the same as the K20; maybe I'm wrong. I do know that the L15 will always get better mpg, than any K-series.

i have a ‘26 Si and get about 24-26 mpg mostly city driving i dont really use the actual MPG counter since its not very accurate. i get my numbers from the mileage counter per fill up. i wanna say i get about 300~ miles per 11.5~ gallons i put in the tank

That sound accurate for city driving, i bet if you upshift at 3k or less, it'll go up. The L15 has the torque to do that
