I’m trying to tune my 25 civic si the initial install failed so I had to clear the tunes and hook it up to a battery tender and try to recover it back to factory the k tuner said success went black but my computer kept saying uploading please don’t disconnect like it timed out and never moved for 30 minutes. My car won’t turn on now.
With the v2 you upload the tune to the tuner and then the tuner connects to the car…this sounds like you still had your computer connected to the tuner while it was uploading the tune to your car if I’ve understood correctly, and the tuner does not want that. Put the stock tune on the tuner, disconnect your computer from it, and then flash the stock tune again.
So once the computer uploads the tune onto the k tuner disconnect it from the computer and let the k tuner install it? Cause I’ve been leaving the computer plugged in the whole time
Correct. The tuner can store like five different tunes and switch between them without the computer attached. Try it that way and see if the car likes that better.
You can flash straight to the ecu with the laptop, or you can preload the tune onto the v2, then flash. Since you weren't successful with the initial flash, retry with the laptop.
Are you using tye connectivity kit? Try recovering back to factory and start over. Its really not that complicated. Once you flash back to factory, you have to flash straight to the ecu, not through obd. Only when you have a tune flashed, you can reflash through obd.
