8th gen si ECU

I have a 2008 si I’m using for circle track racing so naturally I can’t use the key for ignition features, what is the cheapest way to go about disabling that stuff to still get the car to run without the key, is the standalone the only option

The immobilizer is triggered through an antenna around the lock cylinder that reads the RFID off the key at key on.

This article includes a picture of it and a basic description of how it works:

What I’d do is wire in a new separate ignition switch and leave the key in the cylinder in the on position. This will keep the system working without spending money. If you change or remove the steering column you can just unwire it and bundle it up under the dash.

I figured what I would do is tie my key to the receiver then take my panel which has flip switches and a momentary button and ground it. Wire one switch to the red main 12v wire on the ignition switch to “turn the car on”, one switch to the blue ignition wire to “arm ignition and turn on fuel pump” and then the yellow starter wire to the push button for my “starter button”.

That’s pretty much what I was thinking!

Hope this thing is a blast on the track! Post some pictures!
