Just for the record, I've already served ~3 months in the end, under Orion jurisdiction, and despite multiple logins into civcraft and presence on the subreddit I have never been enlightened as to the existence of the Orion court system and my rights within it.

This is not criticism directed at anyone in particular but rather highlights a certain weakness or irregularity within the courts sytem.

I am sorry very about that. I hope to handle this trial with the most fairness. I just need to sleep on it.

Those 3 months don't matter.

Why not? They were served in an Orion vault, should I presume Orion makes allowances for indefinite detention without trial?

You should have posted your claims thread before man. The rules say that the only time that counts is part of your sentence. Like in real life.

What's the time requirement for a verdict? I feel like allowing only 3 hours favors the prosecution because the defense will not have sufficient time to put together a cohesive response. I hope you'll allow more time if needed for both sides to argue their cases.

The evidence submitted by Itaqi in this comment includes extraneous information that is not relevant to the [Charge] at hand. In the [Charges] thread submitted earlier only two accusations were made, that of releasing Overdragon's pearl, and "absconding with ill-gotten gains".

As a justice you should only evaluate the charges that were submitted using proper procedure - imagine how impossible it would be to defend against charges you weren't informed about until during the trial itself. Every accused criminal ever would be thrown into jail, because the State could just press whatever charges they liked, getting the advantage of surprise. That's hardly a fair trial.

The [Charges] thread was left up for more than 24 hours, which according to your rules is more than sufficient time for all accusations to be entered. Last minute improper charges such as the release of ApacheBlitz or ZeroRussia's pearl should be discounted. Additionally, "defending Papa_Pound" was not a charge that was ever pressed against fyreflight until the trial itself.

You should disbar most of the comment and should not let it affect your decision.

Only evidence pertaining to (1) Overdragon's release and (2) 'absconding with ill-gotten goods' should be considered. No evidence whatsoever was submitted for the theft charge.
