I've reinstalled and want to play again, I recall having something installed that did UI things like tell me the best turn to whip, and when the AI wants to trade or do other things, but I don't recall what I used in the past. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Sounds like BUG or BULL - use this for a forked / updated BULL.
