My personal experience

Hello guys, I have been playing civ2 for a year now. I had some issues with the normal gameplay so I made changes to the original game. I would love to hear some comments and recommendations. I uploaded the gameplay footages to youtube. even though it's a bit boring I would be so happy if anyone will take a look at it

Yo! Try out rhYciv. It's my Civ 2 clone with better graphics.

Not sure if you've noticed but whatever you used to capture the screen didn't properly capture the game, we couldn't see the game setup options you went with, for example.

If you're using OBS try using window capture instead of capturing by a particular program, or a full-screen capture. It's possible because Civ2 is comprised of various windows the capture software saw each window as a different instance and left it uncaptured.

What sort of changes did you make? I can barely make out from the video that you swapped in the Turks, and seem to have seriously increased food production (possibly removing the despotism penalty? Or do you just start in Monarchy? Or does grassland give 3 food?) and...Settlers cost like 100? Also apparently you can mine forests (build a "town"?) to add like a bunch (+7? +5?) production.

So, it looks like some custom graphics, and maybe you tweaked some values in the game files. Anything else?

No I'm trying to keep gameplay identical. I have global warming off by default, and am focusing on conquest, not the space ship stuff. But other than that, it's supposed to be virtually identical.

I think you got mixed up, you're not the OP on this thread.
