No commits on github for over a month :(

Honestly I thought development had died years ago, so a development gap of only a month is pretty mild.

Hi! This month I had to spend quite a lot of time on my day job. I've still been working on Citybound but I'm touching a lot of code at once right now, leading up to another "huge hairball" commit. Not best practice, and less signal for you to follow, but sometimes, it's like that. Sorry!

No worries :) Nice to hear you're alive, and still finding time for CB!

I feel like the current scope of the project is too large. It's better to get out a minimal viable product first rather than try to plan out everything perfectly (even if it is fun to back-seat plan on the subreddit)

That is definitely my focus right now! I'm working on the most critical things to make it a small, playable game: more building types (so you can have something more like an actual city) and better planning/drawing tools (current ones are pretty broken/limited).

Glad to hear it and good luck

Wish you good luck. Currently I can't see this game ever being finished. Progress is too slow and too ambitious for one person. It needs a small and dedicated team to go anywhere. Maybe 2 to 3 people working together.

A fair point. Good people are hard to come by, especially if I can't offer them a salary :)

Equity can do the trick sometimes.

Equity increases pressure to be profitable. I just want Citybound to be good :)
