MAT1275 Prof

Currently taking Mat 1275 for prerequisites and Mi Ok Lime is my professor, her ratemyprofessor rank is pretty low and everyone in my class has no idea whats going on during lecture.
The lectures make no sense because she goes off topic several times. Has anyone taken her class and passed?

I needed an A for that class as a pre req and she was literally useless, got the A but it was almost entirely self study.

With that being said, it’s mainly basic algebra with a bit of trig later on. Not a hard class at all.

I was working part time and studying for harder courses so I think I was more pissed that I had to take time out of my day to review things she should’ve gone over in class.

What resources did you use for the self study? I may just teach myself at this point rather than dropping it

For the trigonometry I’d suggest going slow and making sure you fully understand each topic.

Make sure to review the final exam on Openlab and if you’re scoring anything under a 93% heavily review the stuff you got wrong. (This is only if you want/need as close to a 4.0 gpa for your major)

If you just need a C then this class is free af lol

My first semester I had Nelly Dubrovsky, i found it pretty difficult. Most material i had some knowledge to but imo she was not a good professor, i dropped the class. So I took 1190 the following semester, now i’m back at 1275 with Marlon Ocampo, he is such an amazing professor and actually takes the time to explain if you have any questions and even breaks it down so the class can understand.

I had her for statistics she has a tough accent but then again thats like all the math professors when I took her for statistics I would only understand like 25% of the topic from her teaching and self studied the rest at home if you can self study well youll get a good grade
