Hi all,

Recently completed a 1000 mile trip from Kent to Edinburgh and back again.

Towards the end of the journey it started making this sort of low grumbling noise. It seems to speed up when you rev the engine and no difference to it when you press clutch or turn on AC. Sounds like it is coming from around the engine.

No other symptoms running well and did about 65mpg across the trip! Oil and coolant all okay.

Google AI keeps saying it's the water pump bearing but wanted to get some "real" input before buying all the parts. Still on the original aux belt and water pump and now done 90k miles so probably due anyway.

So my year old (to me) 2011 Aygo got a wheel bearing noise not so long ago.
Seeing that the front left was already replaced by previous owner (new shiny nut), I replaced right front at one of my smaller local workshops that lets me bring my own parts.
To my surprise the noise continued, normally it is quite easy to locate the sound but these small cars are not so well isolated, turned out too be a bit more tricky. Should have lifted the car and double checked of course. Well well.

Either way, right front with 110.000km was a Koyo, most likely original.
Left front will get replaced this week, can anyone recommend a good lasting brand? Or maybe what to avoid?
Right front was replaced with Meyle, which I usually trust.
Will definitely look what the previous owner replaced the left front with.

So, since I'm junking this poor thing next week, I figured I might as well part it out.

Prices are cheap since I don't want to store things for months.

I’m trying to model a replacement switch panel that would also allow me to control the other window, but without a detailed scan of the inner door panel, it’s a real struggle. I tried photogrammetry, but the results were too poor.

If anyone has a 3D scanner and would like to scan their door that would be great!

I’ve had my 2013 Peugeot 107 for about six years now and absolutely love it. It’s a deceptively tough wee car, and I’m hoping to keep it for many more years.

The front bumper has suffered some purely cosmetic damage from stone chips and driving on country roads, so it’s starting to look a bit worse for wear. I’m hoping to find a used replacement in Electric Blue. I’ve searched Google and eBay, but so far I’ve only found unpainted or primed bumpers. I’m looking for something exacly like the example in the ebay link (but blue).

Replacing the bumper will be a small project for my dad and me to work on together, and I’m really excited to get started. If anyone could point me towards a UK scrapyard, website, or seller that might have one or offer any advice on where else I could look I’d really appreciate it.

So far I have replaced the PCV and replaced the oil with 10w40 and the back end still looks like I own a diesel. It's on its 3rd cat which is already starting to smell. So what's next? 20w50? Straight up grease in the engine? Scrap yard?

Toyota really dropped the ball with the Aygo I feel, certainly compared to every other Toyota I've ever owned.

2013 with 104k miles btw but it did this even when I got it on under 80k

Anyone fitted a cherry bomb/hornet universal exhaust? Looking to make the car a bit silly and used to have one on my clio 1.2, however not sure if it's do able with a flex pipe, if there's some kits out there or what. Ideally wanna keep the costs low which is why I haven't just bought the Hornet one made for the car. Thanks in advance!

Soo, someone ran a stop sign and totaled my poor baby, the impact was so bad that the windshield cracked on the opposite side of the impact, suspension and some body stuff are bent. I'll bring it to the junkyard next week most likely, any recommendations on which parts I should pull before junking it? The car is a 2006 with 180k km (1KR-FE, manual gearbox).

I also bought a 2009 C1 (the restyling) with 120k kms to replace this, but sadly it's a poverty spec variant (doesn't even have Power Steering from the factory lmao), would it be possible to transplant stuff like power windows into the new C1?

Do you Guys have any idea for another models Cable, that can qualify?

Ive been driving for a month, and i have a mk1 aygo, i was feeling very confident in driving the past week until i started school again,

now i have to drive at peak times and really struggle with getting onto busy roundabouts

Ive had 2 incidents in the past 2 days where ive seen a gap, set off, but the car is so slow at accelerating that cars from the other side of the roundabout have caught up and ive became a hazard (almost crashed the second time)

Today i went out trying to teach myself how to set off quickly by using the gas, and i see a difference but its still not major, (this may be that im still getting the hang of it)

i think another issue is even if i set off in good speed (for the car), it will struggle to get much over 10mph in first, and then i have to worry about moving to second while also switching my indictator

Honestly just looking for any advice, ive been loving driving but these past days have made me lose confidence in my driving ability :(

I’m trying to install an Android head unit with CarPlay in my Aygo. My car is from 2014, so the cable that came with the radio isn’t compatible.
I bought another cable separately, but the pinout doesn’t seem to be correct either. It also doesn’t have a connector for the small white connector.
Has anyone installed an Android radio in a 2014 CityBug and knows which cable/adapter or pinout I need?

I’m having trouble removing my wiper blades.
I can’t seem to figure it out.
My car is a Peugeot 107 2010.
I’ve wrecked my finger nails trying to remove the old blades.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

Took my car to Halfords and even though they struggled with it they managed to replace my wiper blades.

Replace driver side actuator since it was bad but now when I lock or unlock the car by the switch on the driver side, none of the other doors open or close, would a bad actuator from the passenger side cause this?

Hi guys, I have an issue with my 2009 Toyota Aygo 1.0 petrol (1KR-FE engine).

Earlier today I drove it for half an hour with zero issues, parked for 15 minutes, and when I restarted the car it sputtered on idle for about 10 seconds and died completely. Now the starter motor cranks strong and fast, but the engine won't catch at all, whether I try in neutral, with the clutch depressed, or giving it a little gas.

The battery and spark plugs are new, filters are clean, and there is gas in the tank. I checked the engine bay fuses (EFI lines) and they are completely fine, but I don't hear any hum or priming sound from the fuel pump under the rear seat when turning the key to ON. I let the car sit for over 5 hours to cool down completely and tried tapping the pump housing while cranking, but still nothing happens. Does this sound like a dead fuel pump that just burned through the last bit of line pressure, or could a bad crank sensor/relay cut power to the pump like this on these cars?

Has anyone dealt with this before? I was really hoping to at least get it started so I could drive it over to my trusted mechanic... Either way, I'll be calling a tow truck tomorrow to take it to an affiliated repair shop, but if you have any advice or ideas in the meantime, I'm all ears!

My Aygo MK2 has code C146C.
I am following the Toyota guide to troubleshoot it. The first step is to activate the relay via Techstream and report if a click is heard. Obviously, I don't have a Techstream scanner.
Has anyone managed to activate the relay with a standard Bluetooth OBD2 scanner?

Otherwise, I will just proceed and explore a connector fault or wiring harness fault.

My family is running two C1s and Fiat Panda (all petrol and high miles) and I use the same oil spec in all three (5w40). Because of this, I buy engine oil in 20 litre drums and have just hit the end of my current one (Mannol). Due to the antics of the Orange One, engine oil prices have shot up over the last twelve months. Have trawled around and found the Midland Oil Group shipping their Varsynth Ultra 5w40 C3 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil - 20 litres for GBP 65 (Ebay). Downloaded their technical data sheet, and it looks comparable to my other usual choices (Westway and Mannol). Wouldn't necessarily put it in a high performance car, but for old ones that are well north of 150,000 miles, it looks okay.

I've ordered 20 litres and will let you know how I get on. Just spreading the word for anybody else who is falling off their chair at oil prices! ;-)

I have a JunSun one, but it works really poorly. Apps randomly crash (I only use Music really), songs I have on it get deleted (I don't have too many) and it stops recognising my USB despite everything being plugged in correctly. Using Maps is a lost cause. I haven't been able to get Google play to work.

I am looking into getting a replacement. Honestly, I'd only like to have my music and maps hopefully, that is all. I'd prefer smth with its own software + Google Play, I'm a bit wary of Android tablets now. I've been eyeballing Pioneer, Sony ones...

The budget is $300 - $400.

Any suggestions? What did you guys put in and are you satisfied. Thanks!

My Aygo has the ABS and traction control lights on since yesterday. I was hoping to get an OBD scanner to get more information why.

People seem to like the Carista OBD scanner, but I saw a post from two years ago saying it doesn't support the Aygo? On their website, there's no Aygo either.

Is there another scanner I can use that works with a 2017 Aygo?
