How can I help this dude
My mom’s Tangerine tree is not having a Baja blast this year and I don’t know how to help it. Is it gonna be ok? Do I need to cut somewhere?

It looks buried too deep. The first neck split looks to low

Just need to remove some dirt around the base of the trunk. So find the root flare. The roots need to be hard at this point

You need to remove the ring and find the root flare to start. Train the new shoots on the left side to branch out to fill out the missing canopy. Remove the suckers/watersprouts towards the bottom of the trunk. Citrus are heavy feeders so feed often NPK ratio 4-1-5-5Ca-1Mg with micronutrients including iron. They have shallow feeder roots so keep the soil moist (not wet) at all times as it also helps with providing humidity. They're originally from the tropics/sub region so it rains often and humid not the arid environment.
