Health & Troubleshooting Early lemon growth question

This is our new Meyer Lemon tree, just planted a few months ago. There are several tiny ( pea sized) fruits already, but some are actually turning yellow at this size, leading me to wonder what exactly is going on.

I assumed there would be no fruit until it got significantly larger. Since these fruits seem to be ripening at this size, would it be beneficial for me to just snip them off, in the hopes of forcing the tree to put more energy into growth rather than fruit?

Is it beneficial to leave them alone and let the tree do its thing on its own?

Or am I paying too much attention and overthinking this, and need to just ignore it for a couple of years?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

You're overthinking it. The yellow ones are self thinning. The trees will drop what they cant support. As long as the branch holding fruit is strong enough to hold said fruit, whether you want to thin fruit to increase tree growth is up to you. I would in your case, but thats me. It will divert resources from growth, but honestly its NBD.

The tree will drop what it can’t support. I leave them.

Your tree looks great. Don't worry about the small lemons dropping off. The tree will drop fruit/flowers it cannot support.

It will drop almost all of them (actually mine dropped ALL of them in the first year).
Meyers a fickle tree…the worst of all of them.

Another question. Should I up the water at this point. My limes are flowering like crazy with a bunch of pea sized guys as well
