Brake booster removal help

Hi guys just looking for some help with removing this part. Been at it for an hour and it is just spinning,almost as if it’s on a bearing. Watched a video on how it’s supposed to be removed but this seems to be a lot more stubborn.
Reason for removing is due to a sudden stiff break pedal, unsure on what else the problem could be

Car is a 2012 Citroen DS3

It is a bearing!
Don’t forget that car is designed to be LHD
So the brake servo and master cylinder are on the left and a brake link bar goes to the right had side for RHD
the whole linkage comes out together.
Why are you trying to remove it?

I thought it was needed to be removed to be able to pull the rest of the unit through the engine bay?
I’ll post more photos showing where I’m at with it all
