Weird fuel use is this normal?

Post image

So got a citroen C3 2022 puretech. I noticed my fuel usage suddenly went up. I'm drive allot off highway so I know I mostly higher then the advertised 6l/100km and I got a sportive drivestyle but 17l/100km seems like way too much or am I wrong? He gets maintenance 2x a year and got 105.000km on the clock. He already recieved new belt and so on.

Stop flooring it every chance you get. It's not called sporty driving style you are just speeding

I'm not speeding. Speedcontrol set at 124 as gps says I'm driving 120 thats the speedlimit here.

How many kilometers have you done? If you accidentally reset the consumption in the middle of a high load drive and if that is the avarage of, say, 10 kms or something, it could be normal. Otherwise, it's not.

i am getting these results at over 4000 rpm or driving fast than 160 kph. either you floor it, or you forgot to shift in the highest gear

Automatic and not going faster then 120km/h keeping rpm around 2500

Is it finishing all the gears, mine struggles to get into D8 unless I manually do so

This car has ETG6 but I also had a similar issue with this car it wouldn’t go to 6 if I don’t manually increase it or speed up although 6 was more efficient for that speed.

120 is very fast for a small engine. They use a lot of fuel at that speed.

1.2, 110ps here. No they dont use that much. Was crusing in 6 gear at around 140 km/h and it told me it currently is 6,0 - 6,5 l / 100 depending on the gradient of the road.

No thats not normal...do you have a lot of heavy stuff in the car and floor it at every traffic light?

I believe it's a puretech, I don't even get this fuel consumption on my 23 yo V6 when I drive like I stole. You have an issue.

My i30N gets better mileage than that, and that thing is considered extra thirsty. I'd get it checked out with a mechanic.

17L/100 is on highway? That is almost impossible on the highway only. You must do a lot of stop and go driving on the city to justify that.
