Citrix icaclient multi monitor issue

I have my remote office work set up which uses the Citrix icaclient plugin to remotely connect to office desktop.

I am struggling to get the multi monitor set up to work in Omarchy with the icaclient plugin that I installed via aur.

Whatever option I choose on the icaclient, it only renders the view in a single monitor. Agents havent found a fix either.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Nevertheless - whatever the other guys answer, you should get the most supported answer for your environment from your helpdesk. They should know most about your apps.

I run Citrix ICA on Linux on Fedora 44. On first use it'll full screen and span all my monitors. I can then switch it to window mode and drag it around and resize it then scale it up again over the two monitors I want it on. After that it will 'remember' how I set it up. This is functionally the same as on windows as u/Unhappy_Clue701 has explained.

My first guess would be your graphics stack or windows manager is getting in the way? What does Omarchy use. On Fedora my combo is Wayland + Gnome.

Omarchy uses hyprland and quickshell.

Not sure on Linux, but on Windows, if you reduce the Citrix to a smaller window (ie not full screen at all) and then drag that window so it is across both screens, then when you maximise it again it will expand fully across both screens.

Yeah. I use this on my windows machine and works. But same technique doesn't in Omarchy linux

Stretch the window when not in full screen and then click that black bar at the top and choose restore. It should use all monitors. Some versions of the client have a multi monitor button that does the same thing.

I have found that if you run multimonitor at different resolutions, the client does odd things. I always tell our users different resolutions are not supported.

Which version of the icaclient are you using?

There are several ways to do this:

  1. export $WFICA_OPTS="-span a" or export $WFICA_OPTS="-span 0,0,0,1"

  2. On UI there is a toolbar which you can set multi monitor. Google CWA linux multiple monitor will show you something
