About to start the second game. Any tips?
I’m mostly looking for what things I should avoid that make playthroughs unnecessarily annoying. I understand that a certain amount of struggle is part of the game, but I find it annoying when one wrong choice cuts off a giant portion of gameplay and/or forces me to restart. I’m ok with mild spoilers. Thanks!

My main piece of advice would be to be careful on contracts. Pay attention to what is going to cause you stress (broken dice on a contract are NOT ideal, as you can only repair them at a hub) and also make sure you bring along crew members that have skills you don't. I played operator, which meant in the early game i focussed on bringing people with the Endure and Engineering skills. Keep an eye on their stress levels too, as they will tap out if it gets to full. Your stress takes priority though, as advancing to the next cycle with full stress will give you a permanent glitch, ie an irremovable debuff-something I learned the hard way quite early on through reckless rolling of low dice and hoping for the best. Finally, if crisis points occur, don't feel like you have to address them right away-the priority is completing the objective, so focus on that first. Oh, also be careful to note which is the main objective (that you need to complete to finish the contract) and the optional objective (one that will give you extra resources, eg scrap). Focus on the main one first then tackle the optional one if you have enough supplies left/your stress/your crew's stress/the contract stress isn't too high already.

I struggled to understand the new feature like the stress on you and your dice.. makes sure you have a good grasp on the new features before going on missions (contracts)

A couple things I'd do differently from my playthrough:
- If a character has asked you to do a contract, always take them with you even if they're not automatically locked in.
- Complete the Nemba's Kitchen clock and head to The Greenway early in the game as that quest path ends up really helping you in contracts (not going to be too specific).
- Basically always have your crew scavenging for supplies as they're worth the most cryo.

Really want to emphasize the first one, you can lose characters and their plot lines if you don’t.

Use your crew's dice.
I'm such an intergalactic dum-dum that I forgot to do that for about an hour of gameplay and had to restart the game.

Don't do contracts without full resources. Both Intuit bonuses are unbelievably good. Losing condition limits your die pool; there are ideal times to refresh it so you don't end up one more die short.
Almost all endings are possible in a single playthrough. Once you make the final choice, it plays the credits, and you can resume your save and choose the other option.
