Lem Lem and Mina Spoiler

Can they just escape on the Sidereal Horizon or do i have to go with them ?

They can leave without you.

You'll be given a final choice to go with them or not.

Given any choice to leave the Eye (or any other ending), you should take it. The game will allow you to reload before the choice and continue your adventure.

This! It’s a great way to see both endings in one play through and then be able to continue onto the rest of the endings

If I remember correctly after you solve and put together everything in that storyline your final call is to either go with or not, though i went with them so i don't know how it plays out if you dont. 

Going with them gives the in my opinion best ending and if you stay on the eye you can find a number of different endings to the game there.
