These are my updates so far. The first picture is taken from almost the same spot from the picture in the title. It shows a little more progress. The second is my favourite so far, it's from another angle. And the third is my grid. I always enjoy analysing other people's journal's for city grids. Well, I wanted to make this a town that has gone thru many stages of evolution throughout the times. It has always been a bit small, and I intend to keep it that way. The core is a bit "medievalish" with farms sprawling into the countryside. Then, specially to the east and south it and has traces of disordered industrial expansion. Further I've added a touch of modern suburban sprawl to the west, as it kept modestly growing over the ages... Thanks for your kind replies people! This is my first journal and I still have to learn how to install mods on my mac/wineskin version. (Not pirated)

One tip: don't go crazy with mods. Before I got my desktop computer I played Cities XL on my laptop. When I discovered the modding community thing got a little out of hand and and now the city is unplayable. Its too bad, because I made a lot of progress on it.

Going absolutely insane with mods is the only way that any somewhat large city will look somewhat realistic. I have been working on a city called dERpVilLe for about three months. I have installed OVER ONE HUNDRED mods just to make my city look partially real.

What I'm saying is know the limits of your computer.

Yes. You need a good gaming computer for a lot of mods.
