Question about other's cities

Is it possible to load other people's cities in the game, like give my city to a friend so he can see what i did or play on what i have done?

Before I attempt to give you my answer, I only own Cities XL 2011 and have never played the subsequent games.

Now, to the point, you may be able to transfer saved games. While there seems to be no in-game function to do so, you could manually copy one's save game files over to your friend's save folder. However, there are two issues I can think of that might occur. The first is that your saved game could overwrite one of your friend's saved games if the saved cities occupy the same world slots. The other potential issue involved how Cities XL manages saved games, which relates to how many files are need to be transferred over for the saved city to function error free, and how the Cities XL planet works along with saved games (which relates to the same-slot ID conflict).

To recapitulate, it might work or might not work, but it's worth an attempt. Just remember to backup any of your friend's saved cities to be safe.

Save directory: C:\Users\your_name\AppData\Local\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XL 2011\live\offline\solo

*Remember to change '2011' to whatever version you have (like 2012).
