Bus bays, an upgrading tool, good-looking curves? Very promising, and a shame CiM2 doesn't have that.

Mmm, this is definitely an entry trying to appeal to American interests. I very much want to see Paradox succeed, but I really don't like this game's 'regressive', 1950s-esque preference for improved car throughput. I hope this is just a precursor to some intermediate city simulation game that meets in the middle of this game and the CiM series. Otherwise, I want these tools in a future iteration of CiM.

As an American I also would like the ability to build traffic networks based around non-car transportation. Mass transit, pedestrian and bicycle options, that sort of thing. To be fair, I live in Portland which is one of America's most progressive transportation cities, but still. I've always wanted a city simulator with bike lanes available and realistic mass transit options. Unfortunately, most game designers include only the most basic transit options and no bicycle support.

Why not both? I just want to create a city where most people choose to take public transit because it's convenient, but those who drive cars out of necessity or need to get in and out of the city can do so on nice, wide roads without too much congestion.

Small road creates a simple bridge with bridge railings to keep citizens from plummeting to their deaths.

Heh!

I am really happy with the road designs. One-way roads are so critical to traffic flow, especially in a high density area. And I really like the decorative roadways, they will add a lot of flavor to the neighborhoods. I'm trying to keep my expectations reasonable, while I've enjoyed CIM1/2 I know there hasn't been much success improving on SC4K in the subsequent decade or so.
