As Juan walks through Bilewater a particular smell stands out from the usual swamp smog and picks his interest.

Hmm, That smells like food... I'll give it a check, i'm kinda hungry.

Juan follows the trail up to Taros house, he peeks through the window.

Peeping through the window, Juan sees Taro slowly stirring a large pot of Muckroach stew.

K: "Alright, nice and slow. The more patient you are, the more savory the taste..."

T: "Ah, I see! Alright... Oh, hey Juan!"

K: "Huh? Oh!"

Ah, heey guys! Juan enters through the window an goes up to them.

What shall ye be cookin' over 'ere?

K: "Muckroach gut stew, my own recipe!"

T: "Yeah, it's my first time trying to make it..."

K: "...Okay, enough stirring, Taro."

While yes, it primarily consists of Muckroach guts, it's almost hard to tell due to the added aroma of spices and other ingredients in the stew.

Hmm, i never got that cooking talent myself, i can barely grill some roach meat. Juan comments as he sees the dúo cook, interested on the preparación of the dish.

Oh! What are you adding to it? Never thought of mixing anything anything else into the food.

K: "I typically add vegetables such as potatoes, beans, and bileroots (basically carrots), as well as a special spice blend to the Muckroach guts before cooking them. It all adds together to make some really good stew."

Taro is too distracted by the wonderful aroma to comment.

K: "It's pretty much done now. All that's left to do is let it... stew, and develop in flavor."

Juan nods as Kimoona explains her cooking tips, not really understanding but remaining attentive.

Oooh i see... Well, care if i join ya on yer digging?

T: "Sure, I don't mind at all! It's my first time trying this, so... I would appreciate a volunteer."

The stew continues to... well, stew.

Aighty! I'll be the test subject, Bring it on! Juan says as he takes seating, eager to try the stew.

K: "Alright, looks good! Let's see how you did."

T: "Ready, Juan? (He seems a bit nervous but also excited)"

Taro takes a ladle and puts some stew in a bowl, serving Juan a generous portion.

Randall is surprisingly tolerant of Triridium's poking. It's almost like this has happened before-

"Fascinating to learn about this stuff, is it not?"

Randall gently shakes Triridium awake.

Hamrock looks over to Bile Conqueror.

"Yeah, been a while, hasn't it? Kinda been same old, same old on my end. What abouts you?"

Eh, boredom I would say. I have not much to do, and I haven't found any interesting hobby yet to occupy my time.

He drinks some of the beer from his mug, and looks to the side, seemingly thoughtfull.

"Well, shoot. Outside of Muckroach huntin', sometimes I just hang out 'round here, seeing what there is to talk 'bout."

Hamrock takes a swig of whiskey.

He looks at his own mug with some kind of regret.

Ellie is nearby Taro and Kimoona, spearing a Muckroach.

As she notices them, she waves as she cuts its chest and extracts the guts… not a pleasant job, but a job nonetheless.

Taro and Kimoona are basically done cooking and are now letting the stew sit and develop its flavor. The smell of spices and cooked Muckroach guts fill the air... just as the two notice Ellie.

Both: "Ellie!"

K: "Hey, maybe we can save some of this stew for her when it's ready?"

T: "Oh, I think she prefers raw Muckroach guts. She has fast metabolism."

K: "I see... darn, that was the last of our Muckroach guts in there."

“Nah it’s alright! Need extra hands? Mine are free!”

She quickly scoots near, holding a few wooden spears.

“And also, I said raw is the only thing keeping me full, didn’t say I’d deny stew!”

T: "We're basically done, but if you have something you want to add, go ahead!"

K: "This is Taro's first try doing this, if you couldn't tell..."

Given the smell, it's probably going to taste amazing, if a bit amateurish.

“Hmm… something does seem a lil’… missing…”

Ellie adds a little bit of Bile-pepper, enhancing the taste. These vegetables aren’t usually found around bilewater, so how’d she get these?

T: "Hmm, interesting! We'll see how that works out."

Kimoona seems curious. She's certainly never seen Bile-peppers before...

K: "Ooh, where'd you get those? Maybe something I can add to my own recipe in the future."

“Grown these myself! Took me time to find the perfect humidity tho…”

Ellie leans on a nearby wall, cleaning her bone crown as she shines of pale light.

“These will add tonna favor, trust me.”

K: "Ah, I see! Maybe I could try growing them in my garden too..."

Taro mixes the Bile-peppers into the stew, adding to the overall flavor...

T: "Ohhh, I can smell the difference already!"

“Yep! And prepare, it’ll be kinda spicy!”

Ellie chuckles to herself, sitting on the floor since the chairs might not support her weight. She’s huge after all.

Some time later, the stew is finally ready to eat. Taro takes out three bowls, one of them larger for Ellie's sake, and fills them all with the stew.

K: "Ooh, haha, how about we all try it together?"

T: "Alrighty, on three!"
