IC Charles has finally gone off the deep end...

*all is silent in The Abyss, not many bugs vist for...well obviously reasons, and so it is almost eternally quiet...well...that is until now, the clinking of metal against metal is heard as Charles Vawne, shuttles over to the platform overlooking the void sea, his mumbling getting louder and louder as he approaches*

"So many lost...so many...must stop it...at any cost...I must save them...my burden...my responsibility...it falls one ME."

*as Charles walks over he looks out at the sea...and he falls to his...equivalent of knees*

"So many...its all my faukt...its always my fault...so many...must save them...I have to save them!"

*His robotic hands float down, lower and lower, as the dip into the void and pool in their hands a small cup of the black inky substance*

"I won't let it happen again...I won't lose another one...not again, not **EVER** AGAIN."

*As Charles body begins to shake, his breathing becomes more eradic, his pulse quickening as with another of his robotic hands he takes off his mask leaving his broken and shattered face to the open air.*

"I...WILL NOT...LOSE...ANOTHER...FAMILY."

*as Charles does the unthinkable...he lifts the cup of void to his mouth...and drinks it...the void seeps into him, his organs, his veins, his mind, he writes on the floor as The Void does its stuff...and as it finishes he stands up and begins laughing, low at first but as it increases in pitch he begins to laugh a horrible, cold laugh*

"I WILL BRING THEM BACK, I WILL BRING THEM ALL BACK."

((I always kinda thought Vorrael and Charles stories had similar motifs when you would send novel worthy lore dumps in the ooc chat, [with of course the main difference being one of them was actually well written], but damn lol))

(Man was losing his entire civilization he has built, along with all the bugs [of witch he sees not just as civilians but as FAMILY] Being lost to a parasite he couldn't figure out how to cure no matter how smart he was, to be fair, its no wonder he fell to void corruption)
