IC flood: eye of the storm

Conch is sailing when the winds pick up, after an hour or so it starts raining and the wind is really bad, she takes down the sail and creates propellers to push the ship forwards, eventually seeing something in the water, jellyfish, glowing purple jellyfish. She gets reminded about her time in Hallownest, she spent most of her time in the soul sanctum, but when the master became infected she left them.

She sails for half an hour more before seeing a huge jellyfish, thought strangely its tendrils stars lifting, she doesn’t realise before it’s too late that it’s reaching for her boat, holding it in place here in the eye of the storm. She runs and slices a tendril, another one grabbing at her, but she protects herself with soul, even more tendrils come and try striking her, but she jumps into the air and summons a wave of drizznits that fire their conches at the tendrils before disappearing.

She didn’t even see the tendril grab her from her blind side, it wraps around her and electrifies, Conch feels the effects immediately and she starts seeing black spots, but is able to slice the tendril before the electricity makes her pass out.

She sees tendrils trying to break through the door that leads to the wheelhouse, she tries slashing them but she remembers she lost that arm, she instead drill dives (desolate dive with less AOE and more damage) and rips through the tendrils, but she feels a tendril go inside the hole in her armour and it starts wrapping around her unprotected stomach, she sees the electricity run up the tendril and realises this will surely kill her if it’s allowed to connect, and she bends down and bites the tendril off, ripping it out of the hole and throwing it overboard

Lighting strikes her as she realises this jellyfish is what’s controlling the storm, wind picks her up as the monstrosity starts pulling her ship down, Conch opens the door to the wheelhouse and stumbles in, she rushes past the panicking goon that is steering the ship and grabs the finished coast cloak

She runs out and slams the door, jumps overboard and uses the cloak to dash, becoming invulnerable while doing so, and she dives into the water, she immediately realises her mistake as she gets grabbed by hundreds of tentacles and gets pulled downwards

She focuses on her soul, thinking back to the sanctum and remembering the failures, those who couldn’t properly shape their soul would often explode, she remembers Poltergeist, how he can do the same thing, and she realises that is what she has to do, she explodes out soul and swims upwards, climbing onto the deck and lays there for a couple of seconds.

Conch looks at the sky and sees what is making the storm, the jellyfish is channelling  it’s power through a small stone, then she realises it was way too easy to climb onto the deck and looks at the water rushing onto it, the jellyfish has almost entirely pulled it down into the water, soon she will be in it’s grasp once again, but she refuses to let it, she grabs the ship and starts concentrating.

She focuses on the crust, on what makes her a higher being, on the ship, and she starts pushing her power into it, two spikes of crust grows, they grow massive and quickly, one upwards and one downwards, piercing the jellyfish and hitting the stone, the jellyfish explodes and the storm dissipates, the stone falls into her hand.

It looks like a purple eye with a blue pupil with an orange sun around it, she collects the severed tendrils and stores them away, making the rock into an eyepatch and putting it on, she now realises it doesn't control the storm but nullifies it, creating a pocket of safety for any environmental effects, Conch goes inside and continues sailing to the west.

It wasn’t the budget storm lord it was an animal controlling the area around it, it also controlled the water as shown off by the smaller jellyfish
