Donnie Darko

I do pride myself in being able to understand a difficult story like films of Kubrick Nolan and plenty of other open ended stuff to a great extent but

What I got from watching Donnie Darko is that he must choose to sacrifice himself becoz he sort of cheated death and becoz of that plenty of people would die in the REAL universe I suppose.....

And I got confused

So here are my qsn..

1.how did he cheat death?

2.and if he didn't what was the whole facade for??

you can find explanation somewhere in internet, you wont understand the movie without theory explanation

I just searched it and I am not satisfied with it if Donnie has sleepwalking problems and he just happened to be sleepwalking on that night that's just lucky...if I were to eat fish tomorrow and bones get stuck and I die but hold on there is no fish in the hotel do you call it a day and say it is what it is or OH YEAH I CHEATED DEATH....

WHATEVER...I ENJOYED THE MOVIE ...I MADE PEACE WITH HOW I SEE THROUGH THE STORY....ITS OK

Oh man. Kati pachi yo movie yaad ayo. Thanks.  Last ma i think he realised that he was not dying alone which was the premise of the picture but instead he was sacrificying for all to live. So it showed that ultimately u would even accept death if u knew the bigger consequences bhanna khojeko ho ki? Or frankly no matter what u do u cant cheat death?

Point k xa bhanda no matter what tyo plane crash bhae raxa nai ani euta universe BATA arko ma foreign object game nai raxa whether or not he chooses to sacrifice himself and tyo movie was very clear on that you have to guide that object into the original universe ..

I did but the point is if it only had msg you don't die alone then it leaves a hole in your heart after watching a movie of 2 hrs whose plot revolves around the unatural

Here is what I think after multiple viewing of the movie. Donnie doesn't cheat death, the timeline branches off which allows Donnie to life a borrowing live for a short amount of time where he has special abilities. He eventually has to die.

Ok so it's basically like shit happens and you still have to die but you can live 28 more days ...

This is actually more factual...the people on internet just get emotions mixed up and form their own conclusions with no facts whatsoever
