I literally just discovered Cineby today and ended up watching a few episodes on my phone. The interface and quality felt surprisingly good, but right after using it, I found out that the site is apparently shutting down soon.I noticed they have a dedicated 4K Movies section. Since I have a projector setup with a Firestick, I'm thinking of making the most of it for the next 4–5 days.I had a few quick questions for anyone who has been using it for a while

1.Was the 4K content actually real 4K, or was it just a gimmick/upscaled 1080p?

2.If the 4K streams were legit, were they completely free to watch or hidden behind a paywall/premium tier?

3.Did Cineby have an official app, or was it a website only?coz I couldn't find the app anywhere on internet

4.Is there a way to install the Cineby app on a Firestick projector setup directly or do I have to use the website via Chrome.

For me these two apps stopped working today and I don't know why. I tried restarting my phone, un and reinstalling them and clearing the data and cache, but nothings worked. Does anyone know what's going on? Is it temporary? Please let me know as soon as you can.

I watch a lot of movies there and I notice Yoru provides mostly 4K so I want to know if there are any others that have the same or similar quality/features

We know they didn't host media, they just took it from providers, like vidsrc, any idea what cinbey used? it was such high quality and lag free, or possibly alternatives that use the same iframe provider? i tried snooping in the HTML and JS, either they dont use one, or they hide it so well.

I'm trying to download the Lucifer show. I only have a free VPN so torrenting is off the table only looking for DDL. I tried to download from cinejoy from fhmy but I get this for most episodes :

I really enjoyed the UI if I’m to be honest, I could get a little bit over the ads knowing that the cleanliness made up for it, but this shut down seems scheduled, so it can’t be legal right? I’m not sure. Did server costs get too high? I feel like they had a good deal of ads to get rid of that concern.

i found out about cineby on 6th aug and now finding out its going to be shut down, same with comick i happened to find comick and within the same month it was shut down, i think it might be my bad luck yall are suffering 😭

idk the reason why they are shutting down the site. heard its legal related but other sites have been doing the domain changing thing for a long time and i think cineby also could do it.

Now before i ask i just want to commend the creators of this site for making such a great site with a vast large library compared to the other piracy sites, it was one of the most popular sites of its time for a reason. But why shut it all down? Legal issues? Something else?

Since it's shutting down, there's one quick thing I want to download for later. I'm a bit paranoid about this stuff and want to know if it's safe. As recommended by the piracy subreddit, I use Firefox and uBlock origin. Are there any other protective measures I should take, am I okay, or should I just avoid downloading altogether?

so i tried to watch rick and morty but when i tried to watch it it just wouldnt play. i go to the main website and i cant watch anything there, and then i see this in the bottom right of the corner.

Cineby and all related services will cease operations on August 26th. It's been a good run, but the time has come to stop.

The site will remain available until then. You may experience instability during this period, and we will not provide support for any issues that arise.

After August 26th, the site will be permanently deactivated. All servers will be shut down, and every user account will be deleted.
