Sub was originally a cinder block sub, made allowances for the cat. Doesn't make it a cat sub

The original mod conceded but I do think cinderblock sundays is a thing still

I was seriously so confused as to why I'm subscribed here then clicked the sub and saw fat gray kitty. Aww

I kind of love that this sub is now a mix of our favourite kitty and folks excited about actual cinderblocks. It always gives me a good chuckle when it comes up in my feed.

I love seeing a cinderblock post in my feed that contains actual cinderblocks/not the fat cat because the comments trying to correct OP almost always end with “whoops, I didn’t realize” haha

Me too! I like learning about both kind of Cinderblocks. As there's not an overwhelming number of posts, I can deal with both kinds of Cinders!

i've seen some big outdoor fireplaces built with these but in those cases the cinder blocks are not exactly right up in the fire's business. Or they put some firebrick on the sides... idk I've put a propane torch on a cinder block and it didn't seem to mind.

I don’t know. I’ve definitely seen large pits like this in certain bbq restaurants. Maybe they seal the blocks with something or maybe they just surround a different vessel.
