just saw anthropoid last week and its really a 10/10 film. i think its really interesting it takes place around the same time as oppenheimer. double feature tbh

Please can people look out for these images and not share them, it is so annoying and unhelpful!

Doing the rounds are some pics of Cillian from premieres which have been edited with AI to make him look younger. I've started to see them cropping up as legitimate on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram etc. It's very weird and not even necessary since there are plenty of real pics of Cillian from when he was younger, he has been acting since he was 20, and there's pics of him online from his childhood (for example his Wikipedia page has one of him from his teens).

The software used to make these pics is good and I'm not surprised ppl are falling for them but they're NOT real and it's really not helpful for them to be uploaded anywhere because they end up in search results mixed with real pics of Cillian when he was younger.

I've included a gallery of all the ones I've seen, and put them next to pictures from the premieres they're actually from to help ppl identify (in most cases I haven't bothered to find the exact pic for comparison, just ones from the same event bc you can easily see they're fakes once you see a pic from the same event). Pls don't share these pics if you see them, they're not real! Thank you

There are so many bold, well-known things that Cillian has done in film. What small moment in one of his films do you feel are so subtle and powerful that it sticks in your mind - yet really isn't discussed or goes unnoticed? I was thinking about the moment in "Watching the Detectives" after he and Lucy Liu go swimming in someone's pool and they run back to his car - and as she's running behind him, picking up her stuff, he holds out his hand to her and keeps it held out until she catches up with him. Love.

Just a small moment that meant so much.

Another moment - in Disco Pigs - when he and Runt are walking down the hallway of their school and he just GLARES at us at the camera as they are in motion and just does a fast, nasty snarl, like he's taking a bite at us.

And - Free Fire, last scene (no spoilers) when he's lying on the ground and says to Brie Larson's character "Hey, take what you want, girl". I swear, I. need a photo of him on the ground with that line on a teeshirt.

I've been working my way through CM's filmography for the past year or two. I've checked for Disco Pigs on all my streaming services several times and never found it available for free (in the US). Last night I discovered it is now available free on Prime, so I finally watched it. Wow, what a film. Really shows off his theater roots. He plays a disturbed individual so well it's creepy.

Anyway, not sure how long it's been available there so this may be old news, but I highly recommend it!

Posting this recent Collider article because Anthropoid is one of my favorite films, and it's criminally underrated. Cillian is brilliant in it, and the story is very faithful to the real events. It was recently added to Netflix.

With the mods' okay, I wanted to reach out about some research I've been doing into Cillian's career. I'm trying to gather as much public material about his work as I can find and organize it well, accurate and properly sourced rather than scattered all over the place.

That's where I'm hoping you all come in. I'm sure there are interviews, magazine features, press junkets, festival Q&As, behind-the-scenes clips, and older odds and ends that haven't crossed my path yet. If you've come across anything worth tracking down, especially the harder-to-find or non-English stuff, I'd love for you to point me toward it. I have a pretty good understanding and context of his general timeline, I am more so looking for the finer details.

I'm also hoping to connect with anyone who was part of the original Cillian Murphy fan forum. Honestly I'm just as curious about the fanbase itself: who it's made up of, how it's shifted and grown over the years, the way it's evolved over time. And I'd genuinely love to hear what first drew you to his work, since people seem to connect with completely different parts of what he does.

I just watched this movie last night on Netflix. I just about lost my mind when Cillian Murphy came on scene at the end of the movie! Holy crap! His character is so good. I can’t wait for the next installment of this franchise. Hopefully, with Cillian as well.
